I have been sitting on my GL2 for years waiting to do this. Thanks for the reference dude! One question if you can answer it, what lens converter/mount do you use for the fisheye and or other lenses? I’ve seen people glue lens rings to the camera and i really don’t want to do that!!! You got a subscribe my dude \m/
This is awesome! I have a TRV900 that I use to use for skateboarding but my tape deck broke so I am hoping this is a fix. That way I don't need to worry about tapes and i can get retro looking footage!
Had me laughing my ass off when you said and as you can see... you can see my crotch awkwardly enough, that's a bold shot of my crotch. loved the video, just bought me a Panasonic AG-DVC20P
Hey man, awesome video I just have a few questions. So I have the same camera as you (Canon GL2) and everything’s hooked up all correctly, but I just can’t seem to get a display on the clearclick even with the camera turned on and everything plugged in. It’s just stuck on that blue screen almost like something’s not connecting properly. I tried AV and S-video but neither seem to work.
That's odd, I'm not 100% sure what to do there 🤔. Ok the comments are jam packed with other viewers who communicated their issues and found solutions. I'd give the comments a peep
When your camcorder turns off automatically, take the tape out, if I remember correctly. You have to have it on standby, too bad the original batteries of old camcorders are usually very poor.
I'm gonna blow everybodys mind now - wanna do it REAL on a budget? Get cam like on the vid, buy cheap CAR REARVIEV CAMERA RECORDER with av input for rear cam, connect camera to the car recorder - car recorder recording vid from your vintage camera as the "back" video - now you have digital files with additional front camrec video 😁 🤘🏻
@@MothAV # *Monica Geller voice* # I know! I'm gonna try this with my miniDV handycam, would tell (or make vid, dunno) is it working well 😎 Oh, remember to TURN OFF loop recording in carcam 😵
I cringe every time I see these "going tapeless" videos. Totally defeating the purpose of what linear hardware is. If the motors are still functioning and you're too cheap to buy tapes (of which they're less now) and you can't handle real time ingesting, then the problem is you! Leave the linear cameras for the videographers that want to be like film still photogs that like hearing the sounds of head on tape equipment!
this is so so dumb I've tired for the p[ast week on this and I have a RCA cable to Av output cable and nothing it just shows the blue screen on the clearclick so if anyone knows how to fix this please please tell me
Live what they are doing at Life. I look all the time but fail to make a decision. Lots of shapes. I need to think of a purposeful build of a board. Honestly looking at then as a change my surfakate setup.
If I had to make a recommendation for something eye catching and fun to skate I would recommend the Aggro shape. They have custom lil jawn rails specifically designed for that board, and it is literally the best transition board I have ever skated. It has a 15” wheel base and is about 10.1 in width.
@@MothAV wheelbase is really important with a surfskate, a long with where the trucks are in the board. You want that front truck more towards the nose on a flatter nosed board. I will keep checking them out. Lots of projects right now, downhill being a big one. Stay Rad Sir.
unfortunately these "video recorder" devices are a bit out of my budget, so I think I might try dusting off one of my Raspberry Pi Zero boards and see if I can combine it with a USB capture card to make something that works similarly.
are you on a zero-based budgeting system? I mean seriously I can't afford a Pi - do you know what it costs for these things to be built? I don't want to ask questions about your financial logic.
