Avi Kaplan has left Pentatonix, but he has a solo career with original music you might love. He sings Folk with a little country feel. Start with his song Change on the Rise or Aberdeen.
Sydney has now got the recognition by David Frost a famous producer in Hollywood America and has invited her to go to Hollywood for a performance She is going to be a huge star
You really NEED to listen to their songs with headphones to catch ALL the nuances of the music. Actually ANY "a cappella" group it is a MUST, because their voices are the only instruments they use and you really need to hear everything they are doing with that voice. I must agree that Home Free is one of the top three "a cappella" groups, along with Pentatonix and Voice Play, which have all played a major role in changing the face of a cappella music. These three groups have brought "a cappella" into a whole new level and made it a recognized genre in the music industry. Highly recommend you check out ALL three groups. Also do a little bit of research on each one. They all deserve that respect.
I found Sydnie on youtube about 5 weeks ago & haven't stopped playing her ever since. Pre ordered the CD & digital download. I didn't even think ( nor did I care, just had to have it) to look at the price.
Sydnie's voice has to be at least 4 octaves. CD drops this Friday then she goes on a tour of England. She will also preform in the Royal Variety Show which is held in the West End of London each year for the King & members of the royal family. It is televised in Britain so we should be able to get youtube clips. Now all we have to do is get her over on this side of the pond for a few shows.
She is Celine, Whitney & Barbara all in one! Sydnie's CD drops this Friday Oct 4 & I have already preordered it. I was surprized Simon didn't have her as a guest on the final of AGT.
Sydnie is awesome but if you think her range is out of this world..you should really check out Zhou Shen, Chinese pop singer, Dimash..Kazakh pop singer who has a 6 octave range and Cecilia Bartoli..classical singer considered the best mezzosoprano ever
Welcome to the Home Free party. Five extremely talented, genuine guys. They have a very deep and varied catalog. Everything from country to R&B to rock to pop to sacred - even a little opera from the 2 tenors. I recommend their cover of the Doobie Bros' iconic Listen to the Music - Adam Rupp, the beatboxer shows off. For a master class in 5-part harmony, try their version of How Great Thou Art. Enjoy the ride!
There should be a concert over one of the 3 big nights c/eve, c/day, boxing day, say lasting for an hour that would be a real treat over the festive period apprioate as well with surname christmas bung in a couple of christmas songs aswell inc simply having a wonderfull christmas sydnie time,😂
Check out their cover of Folsom Prison Blues. They sometimes will add a little spin - an upbeat to country songs, or they add a country flair to other songs that are not country songs. They are very unique and talented and I love them so much.
A new subscriber. Yes, welcome to Home Free, all acapella, no instruments at all. Masters of all musical genres. They won the 4th season of the Sing Off in 2013. Their covers are upgrades, their medleys are brilliant, their collaborations with the original artists are inspirational, and their original songs are masterpieces. Within this 5 man vocal band you have 5 tenors, 5 beat boxers, and 2 bass-baritones. All of them can sing lead and they choose depending on whose voice best fits the song. Typically Rob sings tenor, Austin sings high tenor, Chance sings baritone, Tim sings bass and Adam Rupp is the beat boxer. But they have been known to mix it up. They can do just about anything and they continue to grow and improve, yet they remain so humble. When they have featured guest artist, they support and allow their featured artists to shine. Several of them have their own channels and do some solo work. And just for fun Rob and Austin sing Opera. What else can I say? Their catalogue of work is quite large and continues to grow. You are in for an exciting journey and the Home Fries will be there for you all the way.
It is the set from the show. I'm thinking it is the one from the west end. The german set is basically the same. My album is already ordered. She will be in the US in November by request of David Foster to sing My Way at the Hollywood Bowl. With the likes of Andre Bocelli, Jennifer Hudson and Michael Buble. She impressed David foster he jumped on the chance to get her here. And if you know David Foster (producer for Celine and many others.) Track down the songs she wrote before BGT. They should have been on the charts.❤
Tim Faust is the guy who hit that last note and he's amazing, he has a 5 octave range. Oh, and he can go a lot lower if fact hes blown subwoofers during shows. Acapella means theres no musical instruments. Avi sang the first verse
Hey there BD, simply Stellar reaction, thanks so much. I do believe an awful of us would love your reaction to 'Over the Rainbow' as sung by Eva Cassidy (live versiion). Enjoy. brb
Her singing and music videos are just the best: your reaction is swift since yesterday and to the point, thank you. The link below her video for pre-ordering her album includes a download option as well, as it should: helpful indeed for us who are far from England. 😊
You have to react to Sissel Kyrkjebø performing "Unchained Melody". She is the national treasure of Norway and her voice is gorgeous. Sissel performed on the soundtrack to movies like Titanic and Lord Of The Rings.
Welcome to the fabulous world of Home Free. This song is done in a country reggae beat. It showcases the higher & lower ranges of both Tim Foust & Avi Kaplan. That last note of Tim is impressive with how low he goes, but more impressive is how long he sustains the note. On the "Sing Off Show" that Home Free won in 2013 Tim goes even lower on this song "Ring Of Fire" & he impressed the judges so much that they gave them a standing ovation. And Adam Rupp once again was stellar in his vocal percussion. Home Free is doing a 10 year anniversary album of all the songs they did on the "Sing Off". They just released another updated version of "Ring Of Fire". Most new reactors start with "Man Of Constant Sorrow".
Home Free is one of the "big 3" groups in a cappella music these days - the other two are Pentatonix and VoicePlay. Home Free is generally labelled as the "country" group, Pentatonix as the "pop" group, and VoicePlay as "the theater kids of a cappella" (you'll see why when you watch one of their videos). Those are all over-simplifications, and all of the groups can perform in any genre they choose - heck, Pentatonix won a Grammy for their collaboration with Dolly Parton on "Jolene"! Give all of them a try - you won't go wrong with any of them!
Nice reaction i would highly recommend headphones for these guys plus watch out for tim's low bass. Homefree have a newer version of ring of fire. But they have tons of good videos. If you like behind the scenes you should check homefree's vault playlist.
Subbed for more Home Free! My favorite group! I would definitely recommend Take Me Home Country Roads, it’s amazing! As someone else already suggested, headphones are highly recommended for acapella, the difference in sound will amaze you! Thank you for your reaction!
They are the best and the only all vocal country Acapella band. You should check out their version of Elvira with the oak ridge boys. John Denver's country roads, there are so many good ones, just dive in
I don't see anyone in the comments telling you that, for a capella - especially HF - you really need good headphones to hear the details. HF has nearly 300 official videos so far, lots of options for you from hard core 50s country to 70s rock and everything in between. 5 guys with tremendous vocal ranges, beautiful voices and some excellent arrangements that produce amazing harmonies. The joke is that they have 1 'high' tenor (alto), 5 tenors, 4 baritones, three basses and one (maybe two) super basses as well as 5 beatboxers and one beatboxer extraordinaire. So much talent in a group of unpretentious men. Welcome to the HF rabbit hole- it is deep and wide. As an aside, Pentatonix is also a very good a capella group, but their vibe is about 180 degrees from HF's. They take appear to themselves very seriously, their videos tend to be much more 'formal' than HF's are and, other than Christmas songs, there is little overlap in their song choices. Now, go get yourself some decent headphones and enjoy more a capella music.
That last Low note…was Texas boy…Tim Foust…he’s got a 5+ Octane Range…crazy Good‼️ He’s an amazing dude…funny ..Oh, talks Bass too 🙃‼️ Their concerts are a total Blast…as Tim says,,,”It’s a Party”‼️👍🔥♥️
You'll be a "Home Fry" in no time because those guys are awesome. Also, Avi's solo music is great and Pentatonix is award-winning. You cannot go wrong with any of it. 😉
