i have lore somewhat planned, not exactly soon though i need to figure out how to implement it to where it makes sense but i do think there could be lore potential here, given as it's quite a random environment to be placed in where you can spawn in a giant fucking wolf by eating some meat
I have a suggestion, maybe make the player immediately switch back to hands when the player uses up the object like for example food, when they eat all their food, they are still on the same slot so you should make it so that it switches to the first slot or the hands.
im probably gonna keep it on the web BUT the engine developer said that sometime this year you'll be able to play games offline so i will definitely take advantage of that when it comes out, just focusing on multiplayer rn since that's the main thing
It seems to me that Defold captivates its simple editor. Yes, you can quickly learn the basics, but its simplicity is a little deceptive. you need to be a programmer and code a lot, since there is little out of the box. You need to come up with a lot of things yourself or use third-party libraries. It's sad that there are few training videos and devlogs on defold. but this does not change the fact that this is a very good tool in good hands
this is a very accurate comment on defold, seemingly simple, yes, but you have to be willing to branch outside of the engine and either use community made assets or code it yourself to achieve some simple things that come out of the box in other engines. nonetheless, i do still like it because the features out of the box are already powerful and plentiful enough to be able to make games, there's just a few areas where it lack but overall it shines
