Have the same generator, don't know how long I've had it, I got it newand every time I use it When done I just shut the fuel off and let it run until it stops. The generator always starts on the first crank even with old gas, it's not going anywhere as it runs all I need, it was a life saver after hurricane Helene here in WNC as we were devastated and out of power for 3 weeks.
No modern engine with this kind of hp should be using an oil slinger for lubrication. Especially not a one lunger. I’ve worked on quite a few of these engines and the pressurized lube versions always seem to last infinitely longer.
It can be very hard or impossible to get the wheel hubs off. Fortunately you can replace the axel oil seals without removing the hubs but you have to take the half axels out of the case. Not hard but a bit fiddly.
I had the same thing happen shot some pb blaster in the top where the seal was put a big pipe wrench on it and worked it back and forth till it turned free .the oil pump screen was completely plugged.
I don't know about being rare, I see him all over the place around here in Indiana. I bought one two seasons ago for 50 bucks on an MTD mower so I could swap it on my old Deutz-Alice lawn tractor.
DITTO on right wheel removal. I heated, I oiled, I hammered, I even took two car screw drive Jack's and leveraged them between the wheel and tran housing - the entire axle shaft popped our of the transmission rather than the wheel sliding off.
Based on the amount of possible "dead" transmissions discussed in these comments, I'm hoping that someone might want to sell me a Primary Variable Speed Drive Pulley for my Craftsman 19.5 HP 42” LT2500 Lawn Tractor. (Sears Craftsman Model Number 944.602630). As discussed here in 2009 (for this one year only) Craftsman decided to use the problematic (plastic) General Transmission (GT/Gentrans) RS800 Transaxle. The tag attached on the transmission reads General Transmission 415663 (87007 C4) and 415663C0100033. It is a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT)) and not a hydrostatic drive.
Looks like my 2020 model mine is all red bronco 19,5 guy used it 3 times then the guy got sick and passed away i bought it from his son for 550 did i pay to much
Does anyone have a video of how to replace a 46 inch deck allis Chalmers belt for model 2690875, I'm a widow and need to figure it out please help me, diagram does me no good
Just did a front drive toro free mower. Was in pieces flywheel loose crankshaft mushroomed blade and adapter junk. Die fixed crankshaft. New blade used adapter. I suppose if you bought a new blade and adapter $50 so it got tossed.
I’ve done 7 so far and kinda figured out what is the best way to go now 😮 Most have been jd D series in great shape and fairly good condition plus will sale good, listed driver belt number under hood for new owners 😊
at 23:37, where does that yellow/black wire connect? My fan broke and apparently took out that wire. I can't tell where to connect it back to? Would that wire being off cause there to be absolutely no power to the tractor from the battery? (no lights, no turn-over, nothing) I replaced the drive belt and wanted to move the tractor just far enough to see if I installed it correctly...was moving and tractor shut off completely in an instant......no sputtering, or idling down....running...then completely not. I'm guessing the fan cut what wire and it took out all electrical?
Dave, I'm having a hard time finding the right part (coil ignition replacement) for a old 2003 craftsman Briggs and Stratton 625 190cc 917 series push mower? Can I just get a coil that fits the screw holes? I'm a woman and have to do everything myself. Can you help explain if I can interchange the old coil with another Briggs and Stratton coil?
People like you that can't appreciate the People that take the time to make videos for you are the reason I don't make videos anymore so with that why don't YOU get to work and make some videos so some asshole can make asshole comments on them
What goes bad in a hydro gear drives? I cleaned them sanded the revolvers and center secrion smooth..mower still fails on left side after 20 min. Also put in new center section and no resolve. Does the case wear out of spec?
WHAT SIZE TORX BIT OR ALLEN KEY DO YOU NEED TO REMOVE THE COIL. HOW DO I REINSTALL THE FLYWHEEL IF THE BRAKE ASSEMBLY WILL NOT MOVE DUE TO PROBLEM WITH BRACKET THAT CABLE IS ATTACHED TO BRACKET. I MOVED THIS ENGINE TO A CRAFTSMAN DECK AND THE HANDLE DOES NOT HAVE THE SAME HOLES FOR THE MOUNTING OF THE CABLE. ANY IDEAS?
I’ve been installing the older VS trans to replace plastic 💩, though it was a winter job and only took couple of days so I started doing it for the public 😊
Mine was more difficult to diagnose as it only got stuck after the engine got hot. Of course one rarely uses the choke then. Havn't fixed it yet. The throttle shaft stuck last year and I had to ream out the corrosion from the aluminum housing with a drill bit and the shaft with emery paper. It uses a plastic sleeve as a bushing, so don't forget it.
A friend of mine who works on these, told me, he has fixed a number of failures caused by those caps cracking and spew fluid out. The fan blows it all around and makes a mess. The fluid gets low and the mower won't go. He replaced the cap, top of fluid, and they were back in business.
I got mine apart as well. Just curious did you have aluminum stuck to the crank shaft and if so what you did to clean it up. First time working on this type of engine and was kinda shocked to see that there is no actual bearing there.
@@sethdiehl5314 ok yeah. I spun mine on a makeshift lathe and used emory cloth as well came real clean. Just waiting on a new oil seal to finish it up. Thanks for the reply
The pan sealant you can use the silver from tuff torq or any RTV sealant, like blue or red, black. Must let dry partially to a skim coat then it’s ready to set the pan. Just for others FYI.
