Again, I'm sorry for you all's loss🙏🏼❤️...Another content creator I follow here lost her mom recently (Christina Barr at Black Tea News if anyone is interested) and my family just lost an aunt as well. God Be with us all in Jesus' Name

Thank you for this video! I'm looking to homeschool my daughter from the beginning. My siblings were such a big part of my life, so I've been concerned for how we'll handle it.
Thank y’all for your reviews! It is not like that anymore. You can retake a test or lesson but the original score is what is recorded. And every chapter has a offline paper work you have to print out so they can do it by hand and memory. I save every hand written paper for at the end of every chapter for a written over view. My daughter was in k12 last year and fell behind now with time for learning I can go between (for instance k-1 ) in one school year to better help my child.
I think I may have gone to Bible school with you! ❤Did you attend Bible school in St. Louis? Great review btw. We are about to give T4L a try and came across your video while searching for reviews
I am deciding between time4learning and Miacademy. Thank you for sharing your observations - I didn’t think of the possibility of my daughter “fooling” the system. Totally an see that happen.
Abeka online has an unaccredited option where you don’t have to send in grades and test, we’ve been doing unaccredited for the last two years with Abeka and I’m thinking about trying out Monarch which led me to your channel, also we’ve done ACE and CLE curriculum as well which I’m considering going back to
My family will start Abeka this year in September for our three children 2nd, 4th and 6th graders. I love how you are honest with yours reviews. Thank you!
we have used time4learning for a few years, and actually love it. we do add in various videos/apps/workbooks and do an eclectic style of learning. every child learns differently and some are a better fit for online curriculums and others are a better fit for traditional. there's so many styles and ways to homeschool. =)
Yup! The math portion is weak. Multiple choice should not be how math is done. There's 2 answers that are obviously wrong, then 2 that are close enough, so it's a 50% chance, then there's another chance to pick the right answer to get 100%. Is that accurate to what you're seeing?
This is true for many online programs and apps. Kids can literally guess there way without understanding. With that said there is some learning happening. I do agree a mixture of online and hard book is needed. Parent monitoring to know children are understanding is important.
I'm a single mother of an only child. I have a son who is also homeschooled and an extrovert. He is 7 years old and I don't know how to socialize him with other children in the Safeway. he's always with his grandmother or me. but thank you for this video.
I've been told all the SAME THINGS. I've IGNORED all of them. Let's press on. We are doing what we see fit for our children and we don't question others as to why they're sending their kids to school. I definitely feel you, I've been there. We OWE NO ONE but God and explanation.
Well said! I'm just starting my journey with my only child girl in kindergarten. Thank you for sharing this video! I love how you balanced it out with some of the positives. New subscriber here! 💜💖
I have no idea why this video was recommended to me, but I was actually homeschooled using Abeka in the 90s/2000s. I entered public school in the 5th Grade and continued the rest of my education in public schools. Here's what I can say related to my experience. PROS: I was advanced in reading, writing, and math when I entered public school. However, take this with a grain of salt as my younger sister was homeschooled with the same program and entered public school very behind in reading, but she was solid in math. Like any program, success may depend on the child and if there are any special needs, program should be adjusted. CONS: I'm going to be honest, when I entered public school I had a terrible foundation in both science and history due to flaws in the Abeka program. I don't know how much they have changed their materials in the past 20 years, but what I remember of my science and history "education" in homeschool (if I can even call it that) was shockingly bad. I don't know how strictly they (or you) want to adhere to only Abeka materials for these subjects, but if you feel comfortable to look up supplementary materials I would recommend it most for those subjects.
