Hi, glad liked it. I agree that this side of the town service is extremely tight in places. One car parked in the wrong place can cause real issues. Keeps it interesting though 😂
Hi, not sure I’m understanding the “slow progress” but it’s not just for the video, that’s how I always drive any vehicle. I can and do “palm” the wheel when manoeuvring slowly but not always. I am in control of the vehicle at all times. 😊
Something so relaxing about the sound of a bus in the early morning. Reminds me of going to college n the likes, Nice video! Longer format would go down a treat for your audience I bet. You should try it if you haven't already!
Thanks for this video. The construction site at South and North Bridge has changed a bit since Ive been there for a semester last year! I dont know what the construction is for though :D Loved my time in Edinburgh, so thanks for taking me back for a few minutes! Greetings from Germany
@@fuchsigIngwer Excellent! Love your country 😊 Friendly people and excellent public transport network in Wien. Second time here visiting family and we will be back 😊
Ich frage mich, warum wird das Display für das Beförderungsentgeld während der Benutzung unkenntlich gemacht, gibt es da ein Geheimnis zu bewahren?. I wonder why the fare display is obscured during use, is there a secret to be kept?
Hi, I hear it sometime on lothian buses, but what is that small beeping noise when you drive off and come in, i've always been curious as to what it means thanks
Thank you for another trip of nostalgia, albeit a shortened version. I worked in Peebles starting in September 1973, my first job at the Hydro! Often, when having a couple of days off, I'd be on the early bus out of Peebles up to Edinburgh into what was St Andrews Square Bus Station then, to connect with Alexander's (Fife) service over to home in Dunfermline.. Two evenings later, I'd travel back, leaving on the last Eastern Scottish bus out from Edinburgh back to Peebles. If it was a driver who knew us as staff at the Hydro, they would occasionally (and unofficially I may add!) continue on past the Eastgate Terminus stop and drop us off at the Service Entrance road to the hotel, where just inside by a few yards was the Staff Hostel. Different times then! The driver would then turn round by reversing into that service road and return to the Depot in Eastgate. I suppose with the passing of time, that Eastern Scottish garage has gone!
You’re very welcome, glad you enjoyed the clip. Eastern Scottish has long gone along with the depot. Buses from Edinburgh through Peebles (X62) no longer terminate at Peebles but continue on to Galashiels. Could still drop you off! 😊
Hey Billy I’m late to the game but congratulations on the sub milestone! I’m kinda jealous of the UK getting newer buses than we do across the pond in Ireland!
Hi and thanks. I suspect there is great variation in the delivery of new buses deletion the company. We have one 2023 plate which is our newest with 2019 & 2020 before that. Hopefully more on the way!
@@TravelswithBillybob ok that's fine I was just thinking because we have e300 and e200 down here in the south were I live but ok I mean there different companies Have a Good day and keep up the great content
Do you have somewhere to take a break in Peebles, given the lack of a proper depot now, and do you continue to Edinburgh on a later bus? Interesting perspective of roads I normally drive in a car.
Hi, there is a small “Outstation” in Peebles with drivers based there. In most cases we carry on through and have a short break in Edinburgh before the return journey. It depends on the duty whether you continue through or swap drivers in Peebles. In this instance I continued to Edinburgh.
I was scrolling and just came across your channel, nearly 3am on Sunday! I enjoy the wee drive down from Edinburgh to Peebles and elsewhere in the Borders. Never at 5am though when it's quiet. Like seeing well turned out Borders Buses, apart from the all white 72 plate E400, needs painted! Subbed and about to scroll through your other videos.
Thanks. Appreciate that but I’m not a fan of the head cam view. To much rapid movement for my liking but aware that some prefer that view, just not for me 😊
Hey mate first time watching from Australia and im also a bus driver loving the pov the company I work for would never allow us to record ourselves driving
@@pokers112 Hiya, welcome! Thankfully my managers are aware and are ok with this. It causes no harm. Hopefully my managers will continue with their current stance 👍
