@@gooonicorn it’s hard to choose but 1)all stars 2) oh 3)swang …but again I love me some lemon pepper, brick talk and servin …the whole mix tape got me feeling hella pretty in my dark skin , ready to beat a bitch up selling dope all while making a nigga sweat for it like the whole mix tape a 10/10 can’t wait for her album
LMFAOOOOO! JT Comin is my favorite. She put her foot in that one! I think it’s a good start for JT i’m interested to see where she goes after this though! Also, I appreciate you commenting with your opinion without being disrespectful. 🙏🏿
This reaction sucks, every time you hear her “diss” or take a shot you automatically shit on JT like bitches wasn’t out here talking about her. Then you bring up her MAN, what does her MAN have to do with anything. You’re a weirdo
I genuinely went into this with an open mind and was excited because of how much the singles grew on me. As much as i wanted to like it, I just do not. 😩
the production was such a dumpster fire, i couldn’t even get through the 3rd track. after that my ears couldn’t handle it, she raps like she’s reading to an elderly home community.
Listen, I lost all energy towards the end of the video because a lot of the choices made here were exhausting. I genuinely wanted better for her bc of how much i like the singles.
Nah I like clever, witty rappers. Some women examples: Lil Kim, Nicki, Missy, Azealia Banks. Trina is a great storyteller, one of my favorite rappers of all time. Men: Kendrick, Biggie, Big Sean, Jay. I don’t like this particular mixtape because the bars are lazy and the production is messy. Hope this helps. 🥰
Why review a mixtape if you already don’t care for her music? It gives hater vibes. Could’ve kept this in your drafts. Clearly you’re a Cardi Stan, thinking Cardi is clever 😂comical
@@gooonicorn Cardi B is not clever plus she has ghostwriters which has been confirmed. You should do your research on the person you going so hard for 🤦🏽♂️ yeah you slow. Goodbye sir. Good thing your opinion holds no weight. Keep streaming and tuning in. We love that engagement 😂❤️
She went off on Star of the Show, Red Flowers, and All Stars! I wish each of them were 30-45 seconds longer. They were the best songs lyrically and production wise - a pleasant surprise! Some of the lyrical content was redundant. I don’t like the production on 90s Baby. The segue from the 90s sample into the regular downtempo trap was clunky and uninteresting. It’s like I got hyped up for nothing. I like Intro and the production of DOD. I hope more of JT’s sound is like Tracks 12-15. It would be a great prelude to her next singles or project.
For the most part I like the beats (Sheree voice) but most of the lyrics fall flat for me. I like DOD, 90’s Baby, JT Coming, & Uncle Al. I just wish she wasn’t at odds with most of the rap girlies cause I can hear some of them on the songs
We definitely being a lil to hard on her lol I just think the issues is that ppl r comparing her to nicki when there’s no comparing they both from different eras different states different styles . There’s no honor or respect in female hip hop
She DOES need to evolve…that’s just the truth 💯🤷🏽♀️ I’ve always loved her music (as well as HER before some issues with her character surrounding the incident with Tory Lanez had me legit side eyeing her). But how much longer is sis going to rap about having a nice body? I’m ready for her to delve deeper as an artist
Lol. Riddle me this, who is your favorite female rapper. After you tell me that, I am going to give you a song from each of their albums that talks about the thing they’re known for. Should megan expand her content, sure. But shpuld every rapper before and after her do the same? YES.
@@gooonicorn but who before her hasn’t though friend? 🤷🏽♀️ And I’m not even being facetious, I’m GENUINELY asking 💯 idk that I have a favorite rapper. I’m loving ALL the girlies that are out now: Nicki, Cardi, Megan, Doja Cat, Glorilla, Flo Milli, Sexyy Red, Lola Brooks…I love them ALL. But the way that I operate in real life is in 100% transparency. I need VULNERABILITY. And someone standing in my face esteeming themselves above me, doesn’t cut it for me. I need to be able to go deep with you. And ego won’t allow that. That said, listen to Nicki’s single All Things Go. In it she admits to having an abortion. She talks about “family ties being broken before her”, & the death of a close family member & how it affected her. Maybe not now, but EVENTUALLY I’d appreciate if Megan did the same. As catchy as her music is, as much as I love it, & as much as I love shaking my ass, I’m ready for you to go deeper. Let’s talk about something different. And let’s move on in life 🫶🏽
Bingo! People ( the barbs) will say she needs to evolve but I've never seen her feature Japanese words and artists on her album before. The snake theme?! So iconic. Does Nicki need to evolve? She literally named her latest album after her first one and a lot of her punch lines are similar soooo what's the difference? Y'all just don't like her, just say that. Stop trying to hold her to a standard not even the Queen is adhering to 🙄 Nicki's had the same New York flow and beats since she came out and no one bats an eye.
I hate she didn't release Peacock as a single and she most likely could've had a sixth #1. Woman's World sound too much like Stupid Love for me. From the snippets, she has other hype songs she could've released to stand out.
Anybody with eyes and ears can tell Megan is/was and will continue to be inspired by all the women you claim she is nothing like. They all inspire each other rather they admit to it or not. They are all in the same profession, same small niche of a profession, female rappers and lyricists. And I'm not talking about sales or charting or albums sold. Im speaking to the art of rapping/singing. To writing. To producing. To performing. They all rap but they all have their own style, I think. MTS is the GOAT in my book ❤ She is paving her own way in the game ❤
@@gooonicorn Minaj Doja Cardi Latto Glo, Flo, Jo and all the otha rillas They all rap incredibly fast, they all sing/talk in they raps, they rhyme. What is it that MTS does thats so diffrent or unique from them otha gurls?
I’m not sure what needs to happen. I just know that right now, out of all the rap girlies… Sexy Redd is the only one I’m listening to. (And Doja Cat lmao). I literally like every song of hers, back to back. That’s never happened to me for any artist, ever. 😮
Goonicorn, thank you for your opinion! There’s a difference between constructive criticism and critiquing to hate. When it comes to Meg and Normani, it’s difficult to tell who’s critiquing out of a genuine place. I enjoy Zach Campbell but I feel like he always says “no shade” yet shading Meg and comparing her to Nicki. Megan isn’t a pop rapper like Doja or traditional pop star like her peers. She has pop appeal but part of it comes from the expectation of “sex sells” for Black female artists. That expectation was true of Beyoncé, Nicki, and Rihanna. Do I think some of the subject repetitiveness in MEGAN was redundant? Yes but it doesn’t change her relevancy. Some critics think Meg should’ve delved deeper into her adversities. I think she did in HISS, Rattle, Cobra, BAS, and Moody Girl. But with the overwhelming public backlash she’s received, is the audience entitled to that? I wonder the same for Normani except you can distinguish between a Meg fan and hater better.
I like Zach a lot, but the way he comes at her at times feels very personal. His video was about her music evolving, but somehow we got to what procedures she’s had done. If what he said was laced in comedy I would be able to overlook it, but it just feels like, “let’s pile on her for views.” It’s sad because he’s way too good at what he does to resort to that type of low-hanging fruit.
@@gooonicornMeg is a flop and she gone keep flopping. She lied on a man and he is in prison behind her whorish ass. Continued to back door here bestie. Sleep with half the industry. Face the freaking facts. She lied, manipulated and f’ed her way to the top which is now the bottom. She can rap but her spirit not right.
Is she a flop or at the top? Make it make sense, girlie. Megan is currently on a sold out tour. Her body is T. She owns her music. 3 grammys. 3 number 1 records. And she put a trigger happy leprechaun behind bars. Honestly, she’s kind of iconic. 😭
@@gooonicorn I’m assuming that question was for me. I usually wouldn’t call an album that debuted at #3 a flop. However, since Nicki was called a flop for debuting at #2 and selling 185k the first week for Queen, then let’s keep that same energy for a Grammy winner. Hell, people called PF2 a flop and that debuted at #1 and sold 228k its first week. 64k for the first week is bad for Meg, especially with the great roll out and industry backing she has behind her. Her numbers should’ve been better.
Why are we acting like first-week sales are a major indicator of success? Streaming has reduced the importance of album sales. As a result, it requires artists especially Black artists to make money via touring.
Album gets better wit each listening even the ones i wasnt feeling sound better and for a female rapper usually dont find majority of album worth playin after intial listening Spin, Accents, Moody Girl, B.A.S., Figueroa, Broke His Heart, Otaku, Mamushi are my fav even those in not keep replaying aren't bad either Been spinning Spin all day def need a video or sexy performance to be satisfied
*After going to her show on the 26th the album was just what I needed. I give the album a 9/10 because I don't like albums that end sad. I also feel like Meg should do a BRATZ collab! That would be fire*
I listened to the whole album and honestly, its just okay for me. I loved the song with Victoria Monet, she really shines when she with the RnB girls. I loved the hell out of that song she did with Jhene Aiko, she need to get into that bag more. The beats were top tier. Some of the songs might grow on me
She was definitely talking about Kelsey on Rattle.....not the pink one but knowing her she gone take it some kinda way😂 I had the same thought as you when I heard the Japanese rapper....I thought he said nigga too 😂 You should react to her BOA music video. It's so creative!
Off topic but you’re really handsome and ik the boys be going crazy over you lol butttt this album was a 9/10 for me it’s a skipless album for me. This and anybody wanna buy a heart is 2 albums I can let play. Bought on iTunes and ordered my cd, very excited I think the album is gonna do well and I loved your reaction !🤍
