In all honesty, education has the ability to positively transform lives, and even generations, and to open doors, depending on how it is wielded and used. While we cannot ignore the current situation of the country, it doesn’t make any sense to just conclude that every graduate in Nigeria lacks a good source of livelihood because they don’t have skills, or that everyone who has skills has succeeded and is living off their skills.

This is a brilliant work I must confess. 🎉🎉 Education is of two faces it depends on the face you Encounter. Some see it as a scam and to some it's really a medium or platform for their success. At least, about 95% graduates will tell you that they are doing the job they had never prayed to do in their life. Everyone of us had a very big and fantastic dream but the road to achieve them are too rough and tough, it's only a patient and determined person that can walk through the path. But no matter what it may, education is only a tool to sharpen our God's given talent. This story touched my heart Well done @wifi films

I like the reality shown in the speaking styles of the characters. They were speaking a mix of Nigerian languages which indeed is how we live. Each person spoke their native tongue when strong issues need to be expressed. The Efik woman spoke fluent yoruba, very common for those who grew up in lagos. Nice acting Real acting. The educational system of our country can be revised and run differently. Most students in western countries school and work. This won't be possible if flexibility is absent in the way schools are administered. Unfortunately, even many postgraduate programs are run such that students will scarcely be able to do something else. I know PhD holders who are job seekers. Sadly again, education, even in public schools get costly progressively. When people dont get a job, they return for postgraduate courses and carry the title of graduate student. Its won't help us if we continue this way. Let principal officers devise means of running undergraduate programs that gives room for students to work, learn skills that will enable self-sufficiency after school. The cost of schooling is huge and drains family incomes; the government and school owners should adjust and stop merchandising education. The students should stop daydreaming even now and begin to pursue legitimate means of income earning. Chichi could still fry chips, package and sell. Doing that will produce confidence in future wealth creation. Students should live in reality. I was an egg seller as a student. With my earnings, I always have money in school and on going home, I still have money for transport and purchase of important things for the home. Students should stop seeing parents or other sponsors as cash-cows.

It's a powerful topic up for discussion here. Kudos to the producer. I believe both formal education and getting a skill or skills are beneficial. A step higher is finding out how they can be used to generate income, build sustenance and attain fulfilment. A higher level still would be to discover God's plan for one's life. Doing this would enable one know how far one should go in formal schooling, what direction/course to go/study and what skills are necessary for the fulfillment of one's purpose in life. This is because if we're doing what God has created us to do, success is assured. On the film itself, my opinion is that it was "too concerned" with this topic, that we just see different characters talking/lamenting about the same thing; there's no real plot here. It might have been better for us to "see" how Chioma (who seems to be the protagonist) lived her life, made her choices and ended up, in relation to this theme. From her life's journey, we would be able to see whether school is a scam or not. In that sense, this film shows only one side of the coin, a side tilting towards the verity of the thesis statement.

According to my own little understanding, there's a lot before and after NYSC. What I can actually say here is that everything happening to graduates after service is not always our government's fault at all but ourselves are to be blamed as well,most of us don't bother to know the meaning of the course we're studying all they care about is "let me just finish this and go to service"without thinking of what will happen after the service itself.most people will even be talking about the alawee,the money wey no fit reach to buy anything.May God help us all
