dy/dx is the z value. It's the value for initial guess. U can pick any num btw.

why dis you chose 8 intervals for 1/3 rule? you can also chose 4,6,10 intervals as these are also odd numbers

ig that's because the 8/3 rule can only be applied for 3 n's, that's why she took 0 to 0.8 for 1/3 first.

Hello there. :) I think by using quadratic formula you just need to plug in a,b and c values into the formula. Then, you just need to simplify some arithmetic operations to obtain the final answer.

from the informations given, your n is 70 (even number). So, you may use the 1/3 rule

Just for confirmation, Miss, for Simpson's 1/8 rule, we use it when our number of intervals(n) is an even number. And for Simpson's 3/8 rule, we use it for the number of intervals (n) is an odd number?
