My two cents - I thanked the company for the $5.00 portable windshield ice scraper. I do not know what else I can use their card for. Maybe a very tiny dustpan, picking up dustballs from under the couch? I purchased their card under the assumption it would work as advertised. After receiving and entering the required credit card information to utilise their card I thought I was good to go for a trip from Iowa to Virginia. Thank you for the surprises! Not only did the card fail to work at the pump, it was also declined at the register. Not once, but three times!! I tried each time to call the help line on the card and got a very nice automated message system that only took 10 minutes to complete the required keypad inputs (which, if you concentrate, is not hard to do as the line of honking cars and trucks behind you grows). Eventually I was asked for a PIN number that I was never given nor allowed to create. Hmm. So, upon looking at the app on my phone I noticed you could request a PIN. Ahah! I thought. This must be how this system works! Alas, the pin request (when it happens as I had to request several times despite having full WiFi bars) provides a 4 digit pin; the pin needed for the automated response was longer. I can only assume this was or is part of your super-duper security system of allowing no one, not even your clients, access. Unfortunately I did not get the opportunity to input the pin as the automated system timed me out and hung up. Twice. As previously mentioned, this unfortunate series of events played out in this same fashion three times over two days. I will give their company credit: they are consistent. I, on the other hand, consistently lost the savings your FuelSaver card promised - to the tune of $60.00. Low on diesel I was required to fill up all the same without use of the card. It would appear that most the locations you do have discounts are higher priced than their competitors. Please know that I did attempt to call the help “hotline” on the app too. All I got was a message from a nice woman saying she was too busy to take my call but if I left a message she would be sure to call back. Good thing I did not sit and wait at the pump - 7 days later I still have not gotten a call from her. I would suggest the company researches what the idea of a “hot” helpline is and how it should function.
Just saw this video. It’s 2yrs old but I have a question; The Garmin Drive app, can the app be downloaded on 2 different iPhones/smartphones such as my wife and myself, does the app use only one user ID for one set of cameras in one vehicle or only one user ID for the app?? I have 2 vehicles and have 2 Garmin Dashcams per vehicle front&Rear
I recently purchased the 400RVS from ya and so glad I watched this video. I have used tons of air compressors and pneumatic tools but I thought, that Eric will teach me something, low and behold, did you know there is a primary hose and an extension hose. Totally had to move my hoses around because I am setting up my bag for operations. I have the wife sitting in the passenger seat, me with my stopwatch, and we are running emergency drills 😂. Go Go Go, we have air leaking from the rear passenger trailer tire! This is a drill, This is a Drill. I did register my product and I am so glad I watched your video which did teach me some lessons. Thank you. You are very patient with us and I appreciate it.
Hello Tom! This video was just showing the different types of system. I believe you were looking for another video we have. Check this out and see if this is what you need. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JPv54k7Tr2k.html
You have two videos on the TST 507. This one demonstrating a device that doesn’t look anything like my TST 507, add another video by 15 minutes long which does have my device. Suggest you re-label your videos.
Im sorry to hear you are experiencing issues. If you believe there is an issue with a route, Please let Garmin know. They do tons of updates every year and if it isnt in the latest update they will be happy to look into it and fix it.
Great job. I don't want to spend the extra money but I have a dually with a 30' TT and I know me, I will be kicking myself in the rear end for not getting the right tool for the job at hand. Plus, who knows what size RV I will have down the road. Thank you for such a great detailed review and comparison. Ordering my 400 from ya
This device is dangerous and should be avoided. I purchased mine at an FMCA rally and was told I could screw it onto the valves stem, exactly is the man says in the video. In the fine print, it tells you you have to have a metal valve stem, but the person who sold it to me told me I could just put on a metal stem the next time I change tires. This wasn’t entirely true. I changed tires and they had no metal valve stems. I tried a second tire shop and they also had no metal valve stems. When I had my first blowout the Aaa Road service guy glanced at the trailer and said oh your tire pressure monitor has ripped your valve to pieces. Was the TMS destroyed the original rubber valve stem and caused the blowout I eventually found a place that would valve stems that I ordered. It cost me an additional $200 to put on the stem. These devices are unsafe. If you want to tire pressure monitor purchase one that uses an internal sensor that is mounted inside the wheel safely free of damage. The overall cost is lower and they are much safer. A second point, TPM cannot be seen in daylight. Even if you purchase their extra cost poorly designed sunshade, the unit is polarized and if you wear polarized sunglasses while you driving in the daytime, the unit is completely black. Finally, while thr Alarm is some value. The unit only shows you one time. If you get in your RV and run your departure checklist and get to the line that says check your TMS it’s not easy to do. The idea of a TPMS is excellent, but these units are a blowout waiting to happen
We are sorry you had a bad experience with your system. What should have been said to you was if you purchase the Caps you can install those on both rubber and metal stems. The Flow thru models can only be used on solid metal stems. Also, another thing to mention is valve extenders on a rubber stem is a bad idea if you are wanting to use your TPMS. It can be too much stress on the base of the rubber valve stems.
@@Technorv Nonsense!!!! I did not purchase flow-thru sensors. One blowout and 3 failing valve stems. These are suitable only for metal stems - and the jury is still out on them being worth anything at all. Shame on you. You will eventually get sued - as you should - for selling a knowingly dangerous produce. As the AAA technician and the tire company said, "we see blowouts like this all the time."
Stuart, again we are sorry you had a bad experience with your system. As a company we would NEVER knowingly promote or sell anything that would damage or potentially harm someone. In fact, this product has saved thousands of our customers while traveling. I will bring up your statements to TST so they can investigate further. Thank you.
Buyer be aware! This video needs to be updated! Newer Airexcel, Coleman Mach Model 45203-6963 units constructed 09-20 have a soft start now installed in the unit. As a DIY person I bought a SoftStarRV unit from TechnoRV on a promotional sale, in March of 2024, I finally got around to installing it here at the end of May. After getting assistance from an engineer with SoftStartRV who looked at the wiring diagram he informed me that my newer Cole Mach A/C had a soft start component in it. So, TechnoRV said they have 30 day returns only, and to sell it on Craigs list, the representative from SoftStart RV said even they have 90 day returns if purchased through them.
Interesting, I was told my New RV had soft starts already installed in them, they are all 3 Coleman Mach units. But I could not confirm this from anyone. How did you see yours had a soft start?
@@horsepowerlife3679 There is a wiring diagram on the inside of the access panel cover. So remove the cover over the A/C unit then pull the wiring access panel cover and look at the yellow wiring diagram, and look for the designation “Compressor soft start board”.
An open neutral is a condition where the electrical current passing through the neutral wire is not balanced. This can happen for a variety of reasons, but it typically occurs when there is a break in the neutral wire or when the load on the circuit is not evenly distributed. It can also cause a circuit to overheat and become a fire hazard
I’m standing on top of my Sundance 33 foot bunkhouse. Literally just installed two soft starts in my AC units. Had my phone next to me. Went step-by-step with you. Went without a hitch. Can’t thank you enough for the time, effort, and energy you put into this video.above the wiring diagram on the front of the start. Thank you, sir.
Garmin terms this as EV setting. Sets the light exposure value in videos and pictures. If you have darker tint the exposure will need to be turned up. Hope that helps.
Changing the batteries in your TST sensors is easy so no need to worry. You will use the sensor wrench that comes with your system and use it to hold your sensor in place then turn the top to loosen the cap. This will reveal your battery. Pull out the old and install the new one tighten the cap back down and you are good to go.
Still a great option but Visionworks does offer a new Blue tooth model that we offer on our site. Instead of connecting to the monitor that comes with the kit, this one connects to a tablet or phone.
Got my card and did my best to setup using the Android APP. Tried to use it at a participating TA station but never recieved the code to enter after the pump prompted for it. Have left two voice mails and one request submitted on teh TechnoRV WEB site but no reply... ):
@@Technorv Perhaps TechnoRV coudl make a RU-vid video demonstrating the process of locating fuel stations and processing the card and code?? Just a suggestion!
@@Technorv When entering my credit card and other information into the WEB site, it woudl be nice if the site acknowledged the information and asked for final verification otherwise customers will enter the information miultiple times...
I installed one of those on my coach. Not hard at all. But I purchased a Glendenni cord reel and put the smart plug end onto it to stay modular in the event should the need arrise to unhook the reel, like say staying somewhere that a nema 14-50 receptacle isn't available and only a 50-amp twist lock receptacle is available. Does not happen very often but not very often is a long way from never.
Hello, we have an older model TST TPMS with Cap Sensors and are considering getting the pass thru sensors. Will the pass thru sensors work with our current monitor?
I’m having the same issue I’m thinking about getting the same thing for our camper probably in the next day or so cause I know we go camping and it sucks trying to get that thing in there, but everybody online says these things really safe and better than the twisties
What size is your mattress? We are hoping to be able to fix in a king with 70 x 80, with minor part of the mattress hang out, do u think it’s possible? Thx

How hard is it remove the camera from mount to use on a another vehicle? I have six cars and would like to wire them all up but have only one camera to rotate among them. I would be snapping camera on and off between cars.
I have recently bought a Garmin RV Cam 795. I set the unit to not take me on a route that would put me on a Ferry boat. Guess what? On a trip to Mayport Naval station in Jacksonville, it led me directly to the ferry. Needless to say, it was not a good night. It then routed me through very tight streets and brought me right back to the ferry landing. After this I had to use goggle maps on my cell phone to finally get to the main gate. After this, I don't have much confidence about the bridge weights and Tunnel information. Not sure what to do other than continue to study the workings of the GPS and be very careful about believing it will keep me safe. Another thing was on the interstate it kept telling me that I was over the speed limit. The GPS was saying the speed limit was 40 MPH . the interstate speed was a minimum of 45MPH and Maximum of 70MPH. I was traveling at around 62MPH.
Back in September 2023, I was involved in a 13 mph accident when the stoplight changed the the car/driver on my left changed lanes & hit my front left wheel/fender/headlight housing & bent the lower control arm, strut, & damaged the hub wheel bearing - total cost to repair my car was $4,587.xx all paid for by the other driver's insurance because the dashcam footage proved conclusively the other driver crossed into my lane - we were both starting to move forward when the stoplight turned green. The dashcam footage was the only "witness". The dashcam got knocked out of it's magnetic mount so there was no footage AFTER impact. The dashcam never clearly recorded the other car's license plate # even though it was a clear, sunny, middle of the day accident. Fortunately, the other driver did the right thing & pulled over - we then exchanged insurance information. Without the dashcam footage I would have had an out-of-pocket expense to pay to repair my car. I didn't have Collision coverage on my old 2009 Toyota Yaris. I was disappointed with the dashcam for 2 reasons: #1 It ddidn't record the other vehicles License Plate # with any clarity. #2 It got knocked out of its magnetic mount on impact so there was no footage AFTER impact when it could have captured the license plate #.
@@ColeyCLogan I removed a thin piece of plastic I'd inserted between the mount & the magnet to make it easier to remove. Now the Magnet has the strong magnetic connection that it was designed for. Now the magnet & metal mount are in direct contact with each other. Dumb MEeee. The dashcam footage proved conclusively the other driver caused the accident. It cost $4,578. to repair my car. There is no such thing as a so-called "fender bender". We were both traveling in the same direction, 13 mph around noon, clear sunny day at a stop light controlled intersection
Garmins do use satellite GPS to help just like Google Maps. The great thing about the RV Garmins models is you can personalize your routes based on your RV size and weight. This will prevent you from going under bridges you cant fit or roads not rated for the weight.
