I prefer direct steering, you will find when you start going faster you not get the bike to turn especially with a weighted front wheel. Good starting point though to keep it standard when you are learning 👍🏻
You mean counter-steer conversion?? I don't think it makes sense with the leaning rider. I don't run the weight in the front wheel. The bike turns beautifully without it, but for a beginner, it's a good idea at first
The best mod for these bikes is to use those tires, your going in the right direction, we don’t run any weight in the front wheel just the ZH hard inserts and no crash bars as they break the frame, you don’t need them with brushless, that bike with that motor and pinion must be hard sor to keep upright going so slow, try sensored brushless they are so smooth and fast 👍🏻
Haven't had an issue with this with over 30 hrs runtime on the bike. I'm running stock brushed setup though. I'm sure it's an issue with brushless setups
I just CRINGE when people twist and let throttles snap shut! It is just wrong lol to let metal parts SLAM for no good reason whatsoever ...rookie move I dont get the fascination guys have doing it running or not....dont do it!
??? Take apart a carburetor slide and realize there is nothing to fear. Valves do this and worse 1000's of times a minute. It will be OK. The fascination is that a properly working throttle cable and intake slide will snap shut. It's worthwhile to test it. Thanks for the comment and watching!
Ive been looking to get more of a race type bike over my kyosho HOR. Are these bike still available for sale anywhere? Where would i get one? Thanks for the content. Look forward to seeing u race it.
These are available in batches that can sell out quickly from PasseriRC. Find them on facebook groups. The Kyosho still rips, especially with mods but these do well out of the box. The thing is not a complete kit, you have to piece together some items to get it built. Worth the effort for sure!
I have changed my stock plastics over to a lexan body. It takes more of a beating than the hard plastics and holds paint better. I am about to paint my 3rd bike body. I just got it cut out last nite. Ill try and get a quick video of some of the options ive come up with. Can u link me the battery please? Im running a 6000kv brushless setup and having issues with battery fitment on mine. NiMh isnt an option for me. Thanks for the great video.
Hey I couldn’t see that well but does it have an oil catch can? Look like it. If u can send me a picture of it that would be awesome because I have a 190 and she spits oil on high revs and during wheelies ha my bike didn’t come with a catch can
6:22 shows the oil catch mounted on the engine. Should be able to find one online for a ZS-190. No good to have oil leaking while popping a wheelie...or ever!
@@motionsick4973 yup thanks yeah I thought that was a catch can I like how it looks it’s sleek and transparent. I recently bought one and installed it but I couldn’t find anything like yours
I read the same. The main issue is two-fold: trying to quick-shift low RPM and not shifting with authority. If you are above 6k rpm and give a solid, positive shift it's awesome. If you are low in the revs or don't give a solid kick or pull with your foot when you shift you will have issues. I did have some mis-shifts on the track but hard on the gas or the brakes and a firm shift movement with my foot delivered really, really nice shifts
Hello, I am not yet a rider, but I plan to get license and everything to be able to ride in 2025, and I wanted to ask that is this bike a good bike to learn the basics of riding and have a bit of fun at the same time? If you would have to ride it on the streets, would it get uncomfortable after a while (like after 40+ minutes)? These are just plans, but I am really interested in bikes, and there are a lot of options out there :D Also love to hear that you could get the bike with a good deal.
@@Sn3akyP3ngu1n look at the 35kW or A2 options every manufacturer makes for the european market. Honda NC700 and the such would be a good place to start for you. Upright riding position, easy handling. Trust me, I've ridden SEVERAL bikes xD
@@sonny9608 I I'm 6'4" and find this bike comfortable. The stock grips sit high. The rear-sets sit super low. For a sportbike the ergonomics are very relaxed. I'm surprised you had so much trouble!
Tamiya model paint .Tiny cans. Make sure to clearcoat over the paint, then decal, then clearcoat again for best durability! Enjoy, you will have a blast with this kit!
Lovely front end, really beautiful. Not quite so keen on the rear half but it's ok. Nice swingarm. Apparantly people who watch your channel don't understand that not everything has to be 2 stroke. I don't like 2 stroke at all. Had an AR125, an RGV250, fast handling but engines were shit. No torque what so ever. You have to weigh as much as a leaf to ride those bikes. They also sound like aids unless they are a seriouse 500cc+machine. Even then, they had to be GP to sound good and not irritating. Too many people had fun when they were a kid on an RD350LC because that was cheap. I'll take my old NC24 V4 all day long with a Scorpion system. Sounded amazing. Just wish it had inverted forks, the handling was ok but not great.
Man, tough question. Both are a really good value. I prefer the Kayo because of the size of the bike. However, the Kayo in stock configuration is not as fast as the VMC.
@@motionsick4973 thank you for your honest opinion. VMC indeed looks interesting - I got in touch with Freya and she is very helpful, but the shipping time of 2 months and wire transfer only are a bit problematic. The bike is intended for a 7 year old kid, gp10-160cc instead of gp12. I’m also concerned with parts availability. Looks like Kayo has a huge aftermarket parts support readily available.
Is anything needed with the kit, what i mean is does the kit come with everything i need to use it or do i need to get a controller, servo etc to get it to run and the kit is just the bike and rider no electronics?
If you buy stock kit, the minimum additional stuff you will need is a brushed ESC (with a BEC), battery, receiver, and transmitter. I like the FlySky Noble 4 Transmitter, 900mah 2s lipo battery, and a 20amp ESC. I have some other vids on this bike that may help. Get the bike!
Hi. I appreciate the videos of this VMC. Mine arrived to not to long ago and I'm setting it up this weekend. What battery did you get that fits in the tray?
Congratulations! I got the battery from autozone. I believe a standard motorcycle battery will fit. I just measured the box and brought a tape measure to autozone to double check it though. I have left the battery plugged in, no battery tender, all winter and the bike fired up no problem this spring...so that's cool
Just bought one for my Formula Vee. New to racing,. First race with no driving, no previous circuit practice, in at the deep end. I needed something quick and easy to setup and get some realtime feedback without a data logger. This fits the bill perfectly.
The connector is not an easy one to find! I just fabricated a plug myself using some small prongs from a JST servo connector. I'm using a 2s lipo capable charger
Hey man! The only way I know how is PasseriRC Quantum Series Dudes on Facebook. You can message the site page and should be able to order there. Sweet! I'm building mine soon.
Did you remove the small molded bump stops on the swing arm? I see yours has longer rear suspension stroke than mine. I wonder if those were there to protect the chain (over-tensioning), or because Kyosho doesn't want you to run this on anything but billiard pool smooth tracks?
I did remove those bump stops. I believe they are ther to stop the rear wheel from touching the rear sub frame at maximum compression and draggging the tire. But maybe for the chain too? Good eyes! I forgot to mention that
@@motionsick4973 heh, I'm all about the suspension stroke. My favorite RCs are rally cars... But I also love to throw in some variety... and I love to ride, too! 😃
@@YoShImUrA53 Sweet! You will definitely appreciate softer suspension on this bike! Super fun and they respond a lot like the real bikes too, super fun!!!
