I use Chapmans peak every now and then and saw the proposed building and quite frankly I don't see what the problem is. Table mountain has the restaurant and cable station and no one has ever gone on strike for that. Surely there are better things to go on a hunger strike for?

Keep it up Bronwyn!! The issue is simple. The local government in conjunction with Murray and Roberts wishes to build a R60m building including offices and a conference venue on land that has been set aside for National Parks. What is needed is a couple of offices at the site for security and staff. Any further back office staff can be easily accommodated in the large amount of vacant office space in Hout Bay. The tax payer is paying for half of the R30m so it effects them directly.
