Hi Mariet! Enjoying finding you recently. Im an abstract artist myself.. appreciate your work, Mariet. I wanted to mention that I noticed when others speak that way to you..about speaking while creating. To be honest..I think thats a bit rude, and I find your videos, quite clear to follow. And..clear that you are "clearly" an intuitive painter! Please continue sharing your lovely works!🌿
@@MicheleNishikatsu Thank you so much for your lovely comment ❣️ I really appriciate it! I do sometimes doubt myself if I need to explain what I am doing, but I know it will block my creative journey...and afterwards like in this video, well it sounds a little bit silly to me 😊 Thanks again and have a lovely day❤️ Greetings from The Netherlands!
I was struggling with an abstract I started doing, mostly because I’m new to abstracts. After watching this video several times, I figured out what I was doing wrong. My sincere thanks to you. You taught me so much with just one painting. I’m so grateful to you🙏🏽
Wow, I really love how that sort of emerged while you worked. I still get stuck sometimes falling in love with stuff way too early in the process. This cover up method might be the thing. Question: what was the rice paper that you used?
@@marksaleski9890 Hi thank you for watching❣️ The ricepaper is from a brand named Wenzou. And I really liked the layers where I wrote the big bold letters and almost didnt want to cover it up by a second layer ricepaper 😅 But I wanted to experiment and I love how it worked out 😁 But sometimes I watch my video's back and say..you should've stopped there... hahaha
Absolutely mesmerizing watching this painting develop! I slowed the playback down to 0.75 which didn't do much for the music but allowed me to better follow your process. Thanks for creating!
Thank you❣️ This was just me, letting things go and choosing the brightest en colourfull colours and have fun! I sometimes get to stuck in my head while painting...
@@lenechristensen1464 Thank you❣️ In this video I dilute the paint only with water, not to much but enough to make it more running. When I do pouring I mix it with an acrylic pouringmedium.
@@jackmurosko8869 Well I was inspired by a dutch artist Claudia Stapel and I used the techniques that she shows on her IG, but If you see her work and mine.. its not a copy 😊 So if you try the techniques and materialen I use inthis video..it will turn put not the same I bet. So by al means try it yourself! Thank you for watching and your lovely comment ❣️
I’m not a train or little knowledge of art ; however even as a child I loved it and never explored it until now I’m retired. Can you please tell me what was the material you used ( plaster, gesso 🤷🏻. And did you colour it with acrylic paint) ? So if anyone be able to enlighten me on this I’d appreciate it very much.
The good thing about abstract art today anybody can have a go at it. As you dont have to spend hours learning to draw and learning all the complication that goes witg realistic art. I do think realistic art will come back and it is already. But for now its great that we can all create our own special effects.
Have a question: What is better to paint on, MDF or Plywood ( Multiplex in het Nederlands ) ? It's because I have an antique frame and I would like to put an abstract painting in it, but I'm just looking for the right medium to paint on it.
