I've been refining what could loosely be called a technique for slap on Bass VI. I'm slowly getting there, but as with all technique it's a matter of application- I'm guilty of putting slap on everything if I play it too often. It's the Pringles of bass; once you pop, you can't stop!

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it- the reversing effect is done by my effects unit, a Boss GT-6B from the late 90s. There is a setting for Slow Gear, which is a replication of the very old and rare Boss SG-1 pedal. It essentially acts as a fade-in, but if you play some "crunchy" chords it tends to glitch a bit which in turn gives it a reverse effect. I'm in danger of over-using it in my playing though, it's pretty addictive!

It's tuned like a guitar (EADGBe) but down an octave into the same register as a bass. So the low E string on this is the same as on a standard bass.😀
