Omg! Something new to do! I have the hot press and TONS of satin ribbon. I think this seals it for buying the letter press. I have been wavering about getting one!
I was really excited about a new trick too! You could definitely just use hot foil plates instead of the BP plates, I just like to show how the PB plates have more bang for their buck since they can be used in foiling too. But I really do love the BetterPress :)
Lord help me!😂. I just started getting into card crafting and I’ve already bought so much stuff and now I’m learning about this foiling stuff! I got into the wrong hobby, my husband is gonna have to cut off the debit card.
LOL, it's true that there is so much out there. Stick with the basics at first then you can add on these kinds of goodies as you find your style and the techniques you want to do or try!
I love to foil and am amazed at all the options available from Gina k and others! Light enough to,pack for Florida\\ and take there as I am starting to plan already. The dustclothes have made a big difference!
Yes! I can't believe how effective such a light machine can be! I always forget that Gina uses the swiffer cloths! I get so excited to get foiling lol!
I have the machine and some poly glaze sheets. Dust the back of the foil and design paper with Swiffer duster cloth. This wipes away fine dust particles.
I have all the C&9 inks, including the newest ones. A lot of the Stamp inks look similar to me from what I saw in the video. Is there any colors that are pretty different that you would recommend looking into getting to fill in gaps of the C&9 inks?
I would say if you have the full set of C&9 you are pretty good to go lol! Buuuut if you are looking for something a bit different I would actually recommend a few of the Catherine Pooler Date Night Inks. Those are super bright. I don't think anyone makes a yellow as bright as their Limoncello or Chiffon. But if there is a color you gravitate towards like using lots of pink or lots of aqua maybe check out what one of the other companies offer to fill in spots and offer slightly different hues. But not necessary of course!
Thanks JM! I feel like I am making more tags than I ever have before! I love the Lisa Horton dies because they have so many cute little layers and additions.
Hi Rebecca. Your link for the "Get a Jump on Christmas" wasn't included in the video. Also, thanks for the info about using the Better Press plates to foil. I never watch the videos for Better Press since I don't have the machine.
Oh no! I will have to check on why! Here is a quick link for you: ru-vid.com/group/PLk4tRUVuI1JqSHLSi0UH_F5jXX1YP0rux&si=ISh4tYVpwBp2cvHN I love the BetterPress plates for foiling! Sometimes I feel like they get the best outcomes, but I don't know why that would be lol!
Love Christmas cards. The shaker was darling. Won’t make mine until I get to Florida. They are those I make first down there. These were darling. Boy, you are busy! Good to see you laugh at the end every time!.
It has been SUPER crazy around here this year! LOL. I always think oh if I get through this week things will slow a bit. NOPE. Full swing through the rest of the year! A good problem to have though! Thank you so much! Can't wait to hear your Christmas card count!
That turkey is adorable! As are you! I’m new to your channel and am really enjoying your style of cards. I especially love the bloopers you leave at the end. 🤣❤
Great cards and designs. I am new here. Great inspiration ❤❤❤. Amazing how many different cards you put in this short video and explained everything so well.
I usually make top folding too, but that's more force of habit from dealing with submitting cards for trade shows. It's easier if everything is in the same orientation for display purposes lol. But I know what you mean...trying to open the card the way you would a store bought card lol! My husband recently organized boxes and boxes of my cards and at first was trying to open them, but none of them are on bases yet lol!
Just love the doubling up of the die cuts. Makes it look so much richer. Love that all these companies are using you! Your talent shows through every time.
I am telling you, I am usually rushing or too lazy, but I'll be doing the double up technique a lot more. It really does just look more refined or something! Thank you so much. Sometimes I have to remind myself how amazing it is that I get to do this every day!
