Juninho was at Olympique Lyonnaise for 8 years. The first seven years, with his leadership in the midfield, they won Ligue 1 title (yes, seven years in a row). After he left, they never won Ligue 1 again. His conversion rate on free kicks at Lyon was insane, 44 goals in 100 attempts (easy mathematics on that one) for a conversion rate of 44%. Nobody in the history of football comes anywhere close to Juninho. For reference, Messi's conversion rate is around 10%, CR7 around 8%, Ward-Prowse 15%, David Beckham 15.5%. "I've never seen a free-kick taker like him. He is, by far, the greatest in history" - Thierry Henry.
"Watch football with your eyes, man" haha you NAILED IT bro! These figure debates are stupid. People who really love football watch Zidane, Bergkamp, Berbatov, Cruyff, Platini, Best, Van Basten, you name it but they don't give a fuck about figures. I was lucky enough to see him play live on TV and once at the Stade de France. around 2000-2002 he was unplayable. He was so unpredictable than even Willy Sagnol (the defender we see at 09:52 , with whom he played in the national team couldn't adapt. He was on some other plane. I miss those days. Cheers from Paris.
Every game he was doing something you've never seen before and the guy doing the live description of the game would say " Oh good God gracious have you seen what he just did?"
Fucken thank you man Zidane definitely top 5 and definitely the most elegant Zidane and Cuauhtémoc Blanco my favorite players saludos desde California 👍🏽
alex de sauza skilss: The players Alex de Sauza played with are the football players playing in the best teams in Europe. Inter, Sevilla, Session, Psv, Manchester FC we can count them. 2008 Champions League fenerbahce roberto carlos kesman deyvid de sauza
This can be Man U´s signing of a decade! Looks like a match made in heaven! His acceleration, speed, dribble capabilities and goal hunger are just what the doctor ordered. He are also going to cost opponents many yellow cards when they have learned they cannot run faster than him. Maybe basis for some bets of how many yellow cards he will cost opponents in his second season (when they have learned the hard way he are faster than them) ?
This is a big statement. But I agree in terms of his profile suiting the team and the premier league. We might also need to be patience with him as he is still young so he is bound to be inconsistent
@@self_improvementstation Sure. He are young and the more they play together the more "service" balls any dedicated striker hopefully should get. Personally I have not had such a good feeling about a player since Peter the Great joined. MY personal biggest worry are if Man U are sold to Qatar because I have promised myself I then have seen my last Man U game. One thing are incompetent American capitalists but sinister human rights abusing owners and players running around in fields of blood of dead slaveworkers are more than I can accept to back. NOT IN MY NAME! I worry that Brits these years seem to first understand what they have when they have lost it. ENGLISH PL are one of Britain´s largest exports and it are in danger of being bought up and used as sportswashing while the conditions for the slaveworkers and others are inhuman and they wont get their passports back before it are on top of a coffin. Maybe a sidestep but I genuinely are sad if I have to never watch Man U play again.
