Basically taking adverts, documentaries, shows etc from old VHS tapes and posting them to RU-vid for preservation purposes. Hopefully i find and upload a rare ad or something that you've seen as a kid that hasn't been uploaded here until now ;) Most of the content will be coming from old irish TV channels since i am based in Ireland.
And for even more, the archive continues on my other channel! ru-vid.com/show-UCkoDAnHEINogOG2C9EZNJcQ
You can also find a similar channel of mine specifically for old gaming commercials here: ru-vid.com
A beautiful set of actors, Alan Bates, Terrence Stamp, Julie Christie , and Peter Finch. She was lucky Ito have their love but would have picked sexy Alan a real maans man.
Now, more than ever Ireland needs its dissidents, this time against the grotesque replacement religion of wokism, which is intellectually more reprehensible, more authoritarian, more self-righteous and vastly more insufferably elitist than ever the catholic church was. A government that got so deep into insane group-think as to want to remove motherhood from the constitution and the words "boys" and "girls" from schools MUST all go. All of them! "Ecrasez l'infame!"
Great interview. Hanley was misinformed about feminism even then, though. European & French feminism in particular were very articulate about the differences between the sexes even then. Feminism had many different schools of thought by that time - it wasn't one monolith as the media portrayed.
Found this on a lost media video about SpongeBob and this is amazing. (The vid in question: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8pEtgjixnpA.html)
I have always adored Gabriel Oak. Would that we all had a Gabriel Oak who would wait for us to finish being a jerk only to settle down in the end! 💖 I was in love with Terrence Stamp from Billy Budd. His role as Frank Troy cured me of that by and by. The music transforms me back to the innocent 1960's when I was a teenager. ✨😍
The innocent 1960s? Hardly: Vietnam; the assassinations of JFK, MLK, Jr., RFK; the huge US illicit drugs market takes hold; coup d’états in Latin America, Mid-East, Africa; First World colonialism still thriving; much, much more violence, economic chaos, racism, bigotry. But yes, grateful for the arts.
i see again now, why this enchanted me many years ago when it was new, and why it remains near the to of my "fifty favorites" list. This caused me to read Hardy, among others, and to try to see anything with Julie Christie in it.Many great, gorgeous films have caused us to properly Read. Wonderful to have access to this beauty again.
All one can say is that ABBA are simply fantastic. Amazing how fate can work that 2 musicians and songwriters can meet up with 2 fantastic singers and become what they are
He seems to be the Forrest Gump of Irish music. Always where the action is, but in a happenstance, almost accidental way. Always the back bencher, while others take the lead role. When I think of the Bothy Band, I think of Triona and Mícheál Ó Domhnaill and Kevin Burke. When I think of the bouzouki, I think of Andy Irvine. Interesting, too: he played on the infamous Andy Irvine / Paul Brady album, yet no mention of it here.
