Lets start with the ruling on the card... ""You can activate Goblin Cannon’s ability multiple times in response to the first activation. Goblin Cannon will be sacrificed the first time the ability resolves, but each activation still deals damage when it resolves."" So yes, once we combo off, we can put as much damage on the stack as we want. There is s catch, however... Let's say you put 100 activations per opponent on the stack. Once the effect resolves the first time, the Goblin Cannon will be sacrificed. If at this point someone responds with a Teferi's Protection (or similar), you won't be able to Cannon them again and they live to fight another turn.
If I recall correctly, the song is Burbank Late Nights by Squadda B. The song is part of You Tube's Audio Library, so content creators can use it freely.
Unfortunately, once you cast your signature spell it MUST return to the command zone, so flashback, buyback and so forth are pointless. Should just throw faithless and a few other draws like magmatic insight in the 58.
nice tech! I feel like discard in gen is under looked as a source of removal for black. Blue can counter to avoid ETB triggers, black can yeet it right from the hand!
Agreed! I There are some sweet cards I left on the chopping block, (and a few I had forgotten about, such as Late To Dinner). At least Sol Ring is banned in Oathbreaker, giving us that spot back!
True enough. Most important is to play what you like to play. I will say that Commander was in a position similar to Oathbreaker until WotC decided to actively support it.
@@CapitalG_MTG Commander was created by the fans an it grows so exponentially until Wotc support it. Oathbreaker was created by Wotc to support his kids program on USA. Its not the same.
@@mtggodzilla7308 it was actually a fan creation too! They have their own non rules committee and everything, it was only recently recognized by WOTC. To be fair, it did the opposite of grow exponentially 😂
I recommend Angel of Glory's Rise its a 7 mana 4/6 angel It has a ETB of "Exile all zombies on the battlefield then return all humans in your graveyard to the battlefield under your control" Exile that under your commander and it has self resuration. Very hard to deal with if you can get that off especily if you have a human tribal sub theme in your deck.
Lol I wish the old school Barrin was reprinted. That would mean the Reserve List is abolished! And lots of people missed out on this M21 version...just 106 decks on EDHrec.
Hey Liam. So long as you declare at least one attacking creature, Gut's ability only triggers once. The number of creatures you attack with, or the number of players you attack, does not alter the number of triggers.
Portal of Sanctuary is instant speed, not sorcery speed. It just can't be activated on opponents turns. This allows you to pump or remove certain things during combat as long as the adventure is an instant.
Deck needs goblin recruiter to get snoop and kiki. Cast snoop, use his ability to make endless snoops then sack enough to skirk prospector. Or have out impact tremors. I rarely attack with my zada deck. I kill with impact trimmers or goblin sharpshooter
@@CapitalG_MTG i never attack with my gobbos. I keep them out of the spotlight. I also “cheat” by having one token and one dice on them as to not draw attention. Also the twinflame is the “golden pig” of the deck. You can make so many gobs with it that one turn is all you need to win out.
the others have made good points, but nontheless: THANK YOU for actually making a video listing the new cards featured in this deck. took me forever to find someone who had posted this info online lol
Hey its frost so main reason tainted pack is there was to break up the combo of thassas oracle and tainted pack so I put it in this deck. And merfolk into my tribal merfolk so this deck no longer has thassas in it
Thanks for the extra insight Frost! I did figure that she was a combo piece. That is a sneaky group of cards to assemble! For Thassa's, it was still in the Moxfield list at time of recording, hence why it's included here. Glad to hear that it's pulled from you list, as I am getting a touch jaded by that card. As for why I pushed Tainted Pact so heavily in the video, it comes down to the fact that Atraxa decks are incredibly ooen ended. Superfriends, voltron, Odric secret commander, even turbofog! The Pact, along with the combos you have tucked into the +1/+1 counter shell, is what made your Atraxa deck stand out from the pack!
Ashaya is currently in my mono green deck. I'm a sham 😞 Karn let's me recycle midnight clock. I know he seems like a "why is this here" pick, but it potentially protects me from mill 😆
Not sure what happened there. The raw video is nowhere near as quiet, yet I've tried trice to uploaded it with the same result. Compression issue is my best guess.
This has way too much draw imo. Henzie naturally makes a ton of draw by blitz naturally. And korvold doesnt work as well as you might think. Its counters never really go up unless you dont blitz it and when you attack you end up saccing a land, a combo piece, or another big creature that could attack. Ive got a henzie list and i took most of these out for the above reasons.
I would not include the Archlich and Rooftop storm if those are the only two of it. The combo is way too specific and in a 100 card singleton format you're never going to get this without tutoring. You'll also need two tutors to get this off unless one is already in hand. This is just not mathematically favorable in the slightest. Would be better to put Mari, Killing Quill or Zareth San, the Trickster. Both of these benefit from your rogues going unblocked, which a lot of rogue cards naturally have something about them that makes opponents hesitant on blocking them.
Agreed. Rooftop Storm is not in the deck, although I did highlight the card in case someone asked why I wasn't running it. I do like the suggestion of Mari and Zareth. In playing the deck on Spelltable, it could use that extra punch.
YES! I had forgotten about this one. I like that Nylea's can be used to get Deserts into your hand or deal with flyers. Hurricane's advantage is that can damage and perhaps eliminate opposing players. Both are worth slots. Thanks for the pick!
I know! It's a very durable deck. In my experience so far, when someone wipes Abdel off the board, we get our exiled value pieces back and rebuild very quickly right away.
Urabrask, Fight Rigging and Rob the Archives are certainly great suggestions, but I think you should lean harder into the impulse draw and run some "additional land drops"-effects. I personally find Knowledge Pool to be too expensive mana-wise and Sensei's Divining Top not strictly needed, Fiery Temper also doesn't seem to do too much because you need Faldorn's ability to really use it well (meaning she needs haste or having been around for a turn). I would recommend Exploration, Oracle of Mul Daya and Azusa, Lost but Seeking instead.
Raiyuu, Storm’s Edge(who I will call AFRO SAMURAI from this point on) is not like other creatures that give an additional attack. His text reads as follows: Whenever a Samurai or Warrior you control attacks alone, untap it. If it's the first combat phase of the turn, there is an additional combat phase after this phase. Afro Samurai has 2 separate effects on the attack trigger. That’s different from Godo, Arella, etc. With the way his is written, you get to untap for the additional attack phase or phases. First Effect: “Whenever a Samurai or Warrior you control attacks alone, UNTAP IT.” If you are attacking with just one samurai or warrior, no matter which battle phase, whether it is the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd battle phase, you get to untap it. Second Effect: “If it's the first combat phase of the turn, there is an additional combat phase after this phase.” With Isshin, you do get a 3rd battle phase. If you attack with multiple creatures in your 2nd or 3rd battle phase, it would be wise for them to have vigilance(and flying). BUT if you attack with a single solitary samurai on any of those turns, it untaps after the attack. This means when Isshin and Afro are on the field together, you can choose to attack with one samurai in each battle phase and untap it each time.
Fantastic! Missed this fact in deckbuilding since I put a high value on Vigilance, and I've not been able to keep both Isshin and Raiyuu on the battlefield for more then a single phase (instant speed removal swings games, folks). Thanks for spotting snd sharing that gem!
@@CapitalG_MTG he's the Afro Samurai. You got to Fight HARD when you got the numba 2 headband. Now imagine if you add Asari Commander to it. You an +1/+1 for each samurai on each attack.⚔️😁⚔️
@@CapitalG_MTG Thought you all might like this. I almost had this combo executed. Isshin with Raiyuu(aka Afro) and Two Handed Axe(aka 2HA). 2HA is an equipment artifact with an adventure instant ability. The adventure instant says target creature gets double strike. When it's equipped, it says when equipped creature attacks, double it's power until end of turn. First, I played 2 Handed Axe's Adventure Instant ability and gave Afro Double Strike. Then, I played 2 Handed Axe from exile and equipped it to Afro. 1st Combat: Afro attacks, 2 Handed Axe's trigger doubles the power to 6, Isshin causes it to trigger a 2nd time doubling to 12, and double strike makes 24. 2nd combat: 2HA triggers 24 doubles to 48, Isshin triggers it to 96. 3rd Combat of the 1 same turn: 2HA triggers 96 to 192, then Isshin triggers it to 384 on the final attack including double strike. I would have gotten away with it too if it weren't a "Holy Day"⚔️😝⚔️
I like your list! Got some niche monoW cards I never heard of like that 1 giant that scales with plains. Brewed my own list and am calling it mono-white mini-van. Keep up the vids!
