No its never a good idea to heat shrink while plugged into the amp always do it before. Also keep the heat gun at a good distance so you dont melt the outside of the wire
Tell me more about those under-the-hood batteries there. How are they safe under the hood with being lithium? (no seriously, I'm legit curious as someone that wants to go that route)
Because its not that lithium is not safe under the hood, its the case. It just has to be manufactured in an under the hood safe case. Im an authorized XS power dealer if you need help email me at hd2electronics@gmail.com
These cases are designed to withstand the extra high temperatures inside the engine compartment where as regular lithium eould explode. Email me at hd2electronics@gmail.com if you need help
Hello I’m installing a zv5 18 on a scv 4000 watt amp I’ve got a xs titan s5 4700 under the hood and a mechman 400amp alternator and will my titan s5 secondary battery be enough I had everything in a expedition and moved everything to a 2009 Yukon the alternator I had in it was a 370amp alternator and everything worked out perfectly
@@reconrc1787 I can custom build one for you, or I have one for 3 8s ready to go. I also have 3 DC audio M4 8s D2 for sale and a Sundown 4k. They are in the video with the Jeep liberty
Ya thanks I think I saw a video that showed that before, maybe yours. Im a dealer for XS and only decided to put that titan 8 in back instead of front because I already had it here from a previous build. Just waiting on my billet terminals to arrive
The ports are 2 4 inch aero ports. I did end up going 32hz. You can see the completed build in the next video. Thanks for commenting. Please like and subscribe.
if it’s 6 cu ft then i would definitely tune to 32hz over 34, purely because i like SQL more. if you want more SPL then go for 34hz. either way, what is the port cutout size? make sure you don’t have any chuffing - i would recommend at least 35 sq. in for 2 12s
Any problem with the Titan 8 as far as heat goes? We can get pretty hot during the summertime. Do you ever have to charge the xs Titan 8 separately at anytime after installation? Thanks..
Not at all. Keep in mind these smaller ones are meant to be INSIDE car only. The ones with a # behind them like s5-4700 are in a bigger under the hood safe case. Id recommend those if space isn't an issue
