This was all before Covid came and everyone got broke. That’s why in today’s show they hardly make a profit. But this. The seller must’ve been gutted them they saw this.
I swear that I have the same teapot that my husband purchased in Kunming, southern China (his hometown) about 30 years ago…I think he paid about $10 US …now I wonder if my 50 or so Chinese teapots are worth a pretty penny……….
Begun to really dislike this programme. So many times they get people to put silver and gold items into auction when they would be far better off scrapping them for cash.
Bargain hunt has never been the same since the parting of Tim . They never could find any one to replace him . Now its like lucky dip as to who presents the show but no one with same sense of dry humor as him. I don't watch it any more as I only watched it for him 🤷♂
Sheer dumb luck , he may be a good auctioneer but couldn't pick his nose when it comes to helping his team pick a profit ! Pratt by name and by nature,,
1:05 the underside of the tea pot is pristine, Charlie is right there is no way that is an antique however if I may repeat what somebody else said on a different thread it is modern collectable Chinese pottery and an item like this is worth about £100.
No it is old, I have owned and sold a few similar pieces like this over the years, can't say exactly how old but a general guess would be late 19th century. This is another type of Chinese export ware to the west, just a much less common one compared to porcelain and such.
@@petecabrina I beg to differ the underside of the pot showed no wear whatsoever also China is the fake capital of the world, they are faking most nations other valuables why would they not fake their own?
Tim was the worst host of bargain hunt he made a good program rubbish .the very best host of bargain hunt was David Dickinson he made the program.all the outhers rubbish host.bring back David Dickinson from itv
