Very nice video Joe. My question is ..is there a way to switch the fuel and water tank? 75 gallons might be too small for bluewater sailing. Planning to add water maker anyway. Thanks
So you have "gourmet meals" cruising high seas ???… Would be interesting to see "gourmet" food tossed a bowl and splattered on your knees … I wouldn't buy a used car from someonee who has such arguments, let alone a boat …
Started in 1962 (age 14) at the Glenan sailing school. Then was a crew member for extensive cruise in tbe North Atlantic, Channel, North Sea and Baltic for more than 12 years both with this school and other private boat owners, then appointed skipper at the Club de des Glénans for 10 years cruising extensively from april / may to sept / nov. in the same warers and some of the western Med, This brought me to buying my own boat (33ft), fixing it and doing solo and crew sailing for the last 25 years on the North Atlantic on an area from Icela d to Cape Verde and Canaries Azores in between ... As French crew we always have plenty of good wine and we keep things simple by gulping the stuff from a mug to wash down our grub. And yes we do have a scorn or a hearty laugh at those sailors who brought their armchairs aboard and pretend the good life is with a spiffy glass of wine on a fully glossy 55ft sailboat that sails because epirb and gps are available to smaller boats now. The problem we have with your kind is that you swarm the nice spots and the locals become unfriendly and greedy So yes, let us joke at you, because that's what you are : a bad joke who thinks that Silicon money can buy experience and long and hard learned philosophy from the sea.
vincent7520 LOL... you have sailed in some interesting spots that that are challenging. I bow my head and tip my hat. BTW, no, my boat is old school, with a real keel that gets sailed more than the motor is ever on. Comments about cooking on a boat like you made are usually made by those who never have. Although I must admit, a gimballed stove will be my next upgrade.
Sailing was the best part of my life … Cheers… and gimbal that stove !!!… But before that be sure to wear pants or other clothes that cover the body and not boot : being scaled at sea is the worst that could happen ! Wish you a nice sailing.
