binge watching this all the way from King City California a small farm town.... thank you for sharing.....as a follower of rugby for many many years we don't have this in the United States. we have docu-series on football and basketball but , it is truly amazing to see the appreciation and team effort put in each student and player....I see schedule caters all over the world with benefit from watching this.... such a disciplined and structured manner ,
thank you all @ Onion Television , I seen series 1 of the season on rugby pass , series 2 is here.... much respects , all the way from a small farm town , here in King City California......
You're welcome - thanks for supporting! Stay tuned for more content over the coming weeks! Stay healthy over there, here in Australia, we're doing okay so fingers crossed for a return to normal!
Love all these series, really well made and filmed. Just wondering why you guys always show the result of the seasons right at the start of Episode 1? Takes all the suspense out of the rest of the series.
Good question. It’s a technique often used in cinema where you reverse engineer the story - in other words, you look to see if the impact of showing the ending followed by the steps to get them there is more compelling than the normal way. In Eddie’s case the season was highlighted primarily by the game they lost instead of the games they won. It is also a case of a strong start to the series which will encourage the audience to watch further. If the start is too slow or too ‘low key’ you might not get the kind of response you want, or engagement from the audience. Traditionally the audience likes to be shocked or entertained immediately instead of the slow burn approach. The ‘ending before the beginning’ approach is often told when the team or story ends negatively or in a loss. You tend to build into a winning story....
yeah, league and union are def WORLDs apart! Just came back from watching the rugby union schools - the coaches, crowds & players are x100000 different to league players, coaches & crowds....
Mind you these "Rugby Union Schools" are private schools which are well funded, so Coaches are there to be coaches while these rugby league public schools, teachers are also coaches & "crowds" are at Union games are majority made up of students and are on weekends where as these league public schools are on week days during school hours
