It’s frustrating to play against. No one wants to wait until both assists are exhausted and then when you try to punish the barrier, he can call another one and extend the game/ lose neutral. She also gains meter off every hit blocked on a barrier and can punish anyone who hits the barrier, it stops her momentum, is safe in blockstrings and adds a layer of mindgames, etc etc. It does too much essentially. It shouldn’t be an amazing neutral tool, have blockstring mind game, meter gain, virtually safe all the time, be called with an assist, and be safe on wiff by calling another barrier back to back. It does too much.

@@attackingtitans7119It's fair to say it's frustrating because it forces you to play around it and "slows the game down." For Bum I know slowing the game down is almost always a bad thing. But I really can't say that it does too much. You can punish the barrier with dragon rush/command grab or super. They can't use 17 barrier if 17 is out on the field already and he lingers after every use. It's a counter, meaning the opponent has to hit it to do anything. I don't see why it needs more drawbacks if your only reward comes from you successfully reading your opponent's offense and correctly timing the counter. It is part of her neutral, which she needs. It's part of her offense but not part of her defense, it's way to risky to use stuck in the corner for the most part. Would you think it was fair if the meter gain was nerfed? Otherwise how would you want to change it?

@@DjNic11 Dragon rushing to punish in neutral or while blocking is crazy, it would have to be the nastiest read ever and it’s just not worth it, better to block it out and wait 1000 years. Also im not sure if a meter nerf would make it more fair i myself abuse the barriers since i’ve always played 18, and as far as i can see its just free to use in neutral and blockstrings. I’m able to infinitely keep someone in one place by mixing it up with her other options. On second thought i would just like to need 18s barrier, don’t let her call 2 barriers back to back and id be more ok with that, also nerf A17 assist block stun and hit sun, other barriers in general im ok with.
