Welcome to the Channel! Firstly thanks for taking the time to read this description and I hope to have you onboard as a subscriber!
Have a look through the videos, there are older videos of in car racing footage from my time racing succesfully in Stock Hatch and Civic Cup, through to newer videos following my exploits with track day cars as well as road cars and of course race cars. The video's are building the cars, modifying cars and days out on track.
There are 'How To's' as well as general dicking about with cars, some silly driving and others more serious competition as we still get out in the race cars from time to time. We always try to make sure to get out at least once a year usually in the Boxing Day plum pudding race meeting at Mallory Park. The aim is to get out racing again regularly so watch out for that.
Follow the exploits through the video's, these are usually released weekly on Tuesday evenings, so subscribe to join the team!
Seems the car does the correct things on the corners, but just lacks the straight line compared to others. which for a FN2 its usually the other way around :)
If you put a rollcage on a kart it just wont be a kart anymore because the rollcage will prevent the kart from flexing which is how they work. You could put a rollover bar and a seatbelt but because there are no energy absorbtion zones that would probably lead to more injuries
actually it was really nicely balanced, the tyres were limiting factor (road Michelin's) a set of semi slicks and it would have been flying! no comment on helmet cam... shoulder cam or something 👀
I meant to come take a look at what engine specs you were running as it sounded like you were only able to use half throttle most of the time. Sounded great though
yes you would have been welcome to have a look. You are right it was spinning the wheels at every opportunity. Got pulled in for noise half way through 2nd race which was a shame as it was going really well once I could get a slither of traction
it's actually a rotrex supercharger, intercooled race kit from TTS performance . I think it would benefit from a remap as it was mapped previously on a higher compression (stock internals) engine which didn't last very long. Since rebuilt with forged pistons and steel rods albeit lower compression so could squeeze a bit more out if it but also clean up the midrange and make it more driveable
Thanks mate 👍! Apparently it was 112dB on the drive by ....we will definitely be putting a more substantial silencer on it and maybe be out for a few more races in 2023 but definitely be at plum pudding 2023 , happy new year!
Why didn't you stop to check on him? I mean that looked pretty bad and the race is not as important as a human life. It triggers me seeing you continuing to drive
You can see him slow down tho. The clip only goes for like another 3 seconds after and you can see him checking back concerned. He can’t just slam on the breaks
@@puddle-karting Exactly ! They even ask the drivers to keep in their karts and stay predictable. To avoid other accidents. But I know, some people will jump off the seat to check the other driver. Usually people on the track know each other and sometimes they're even friends. There are situations when you can help. Because upside down the fuel can leak, the engine, the radiator and the exhaust can burn. So if you know there's nobody near the accident... I would not blame you for trying to help. When I used to attend to watch karting, during practices and races the track was always full of mechanics and marshals. In these cases is better to just keep going. 🤔
@@alvinchui8007 i dont even know, but i watched it like 10 times over then started pausing it and playing it as the roll unfolded and i couldnt stop laughing
