Honestly, 900K for a 3 bedroom townhome in Vancouver (even east van) is not bad). My friends paid for a 3 bedroom ground level in Burnaby Edmonds area for that price (which I think it's terrible), I also know others who bought town homes in Queensborough for the same price.
Yes there is not a lot in terms of 3 beds! In all of East van and Burnaby there are only 17 3 bed townhomes! I actually had clients look at some of the 90's built ones in Edmonds too! What part of the lower mainland are you in?

Best place I've found for rentals is Facebook Marketplace, Zumper or rentals.ca. Make sure you meet the landlord in person :) Good luck with school. If I can help any other way let me know!

Yes it's challenging area. There are some really cool loft style buildings in the area too but unfortunately the area is a deterrent for most people. Are you local to Vancouver?
I’m not impressed with the way you sell North Burnaby! First you missed Capital Hill you just showed high rises that doesn’t describe us. I guess it describes what your selling. First of all Burnaby North, I’ll agree has FSU but you didn’t show the park that is a major pull. Just up the hill and the view of the Pacific Ocean and the sunset! Not talking about that is a detriment to your page. You need to express the beauty that can be witnessed in walking distance. Tracking boundaries isn’t helpful. You need to talk to the masses, I’d never move here on what you have said! Open your eyes, showing high rises as an alternative home! Well you lost me at that. I’m 10-15 min walk from watching a sunset over the ocean, where people congrat nightly to relax and enjoy the view. It’s a hidden gem but you have to live here too know.

IMO the townhouses on gilley are too narrow. There are condos from the late 90s or early 2000s over 1000 sq.ft such on Southoaks cres which are two bed and den so equal square footage in one floor plan around 800K to $900K ish if renovated can be great too. But to each their own.
Absolutely! A potential drawback to most townhomes is the stairs. They are great for people who want easy entry in/out or have pets etc. But that's right, just depends on someones personal situation :)
@@realestateinvancouver That's right. IMO those older well maintained two bed / bathrooms and den larger condos are a gem. A couple can raise a kid in that type of home unlike the newer micro condos. They're like the new townhouse for people upsizing from a one bed but the key is they are also desired from seniors down sizing from a house who don't want stairs.
@@micrasystems yes I completely agree! I just hosted an open house at a 1,000 sf stacked townhouse and most of the feedback was about the lack of space. It was 3 beds but not a lot of living space!
The prices people are willing to pay for those small places is ridiculous, it is like we're not living in the same country. I have a small house in New-Brunswick in a rural area that is evaluated at less that $100,000 and I got twice the space of those condos. Even if I could afford it, I would never trade what I have for one of those.
That's great you have all that space! Vancouver isn't for everyone. There are pros and cons of every area and everyone has their own priorities for what's important to them :)
Thanks, yes I love this view as well! But yes, it is noisy. I do hear sirens and being so close to the stadium there is the stadium noise. It doesn't bother me though but I do sleep with good ear plugs! Yaletown or the west end would be quieter depending on the street you're on. What is it you really like about DT? or this area?
