The kitchen is too small and so are the bedrooms, as there isn't room enough for adequate bedroom storage. Another commenter suggested expanding the kitchen into the second bedroom. This is a good idea, except I would convert the back end of the former second bedroom into a proper closet for the primary bedroom. If more space is needed and the residents aren't disabled, they can put in a couple of bedrooms and a shower bath upstairs and put the stair case between the kitchen and the living room. Because of the new walk-in closet downstairs, that bathroom will either have to be a powder room or be given enough room from the firmer second bedroom to still have a tub. Hmmm... It would probably be better to make that into a shower bathroom and put the tub in the upstairs bathroom. And one more thing. If expanding upward for more room, please don't go with a low ceilinged loft. Those are concussion factories and make lots of money for doctors and hospitals.
With such serious alterations, it will be a fundamentally different design. The smaller the house, the more it is necessary to take into account individual requirements. Therefore, it is difficult to develop a universal design for a small house.
I'd turn the bedroom just off the kitchen into the kitchen, taking out the wall. This would expand the living area. Otherwise, this is a great looking cottage!
To much green inside and outside change to white or shade of white. Add a fireplace or woodstove in the living room Take out T V and stand. Nice floorplan.❤❤😊🏠💫🏠🕊️🚨🏠🏠
Love the exterior. The interior...the layout leaves a little to be desired. The fireplace in the middle of the house is a space thief. Not sure what exactly I'd do, but I'd tweak it a bit.
Very nice looking house. Front and back entryways are inviting and pleasantly done. Living room is open and airy. The dining/kitchen area is warm and welcoming. The bedrooms are a good size and the bathroom is spacious. Only one real thing to consider changing is the stairs between the kitchen and living room. If it's possible to remove the extra steps between that area it would flow even better. However I wonder if it would make the staircase steeper. Overall very good job.
The house is very nicely done outside. The interior needs just a couple of adjustments. The living and dining areas are shown well. The fireplace though looks a little bare. The kitchen is fine, though it would be nice to see the pantry. As for the bedrooms. The closet area in the master bedroom looks like both the closet and a desk area? I'm unsure on that. The rest looks very good. You're doing great, keep up the good work.
This is an ugly house. There should be a Laundry room instead of one small Combo machine for a house this size. The walls are horrible, the color is all female, and there is no room for a male to live here.
Very beautiful/inviting exterior. Must have user friendly front entry coat/boot closet☺️. Can open up kitchen/dining area with a pass through perhaps.😉 Would definitely need full bath with tub/shower combo & linen closet. Laundry area with side by side washer/dryer & off the back exit maybe a deck or patio for outdoor grilling etc. Very excellent basic features. TY ☺️

Skip the arbor, roof and screen in the front porch. There's no point to a double front door if the sofa is in the way. Raise the TV, move it over and make it bigger. It'll get ruined that close to the woodstove. Yes, l know this is staged.
😬Background music? very annoying. Front entry could use patio whole length of home with railing. Small patio off back exit area. Really not necessary 2 have all that glass at front entry(lose that & utilize a front coat/boot closet instead). NO 2 tv above fireplace!!! Sorry-kitchen seems like just thrown together;not very user friendly for working triangle. Laundry area/powder room combo would be good. Seem to miss opportunities to utilize floor space most effectively. TY 4 ideas
Is it possible to bring the scale of the surrounding landscape into line with the scale of the house? From time to time, monster trees of enormous, frightening size appear in the background (1:45; 2:55). They must be at least 100 meters high. And these are clearly not sequoias.😄 Honestly, it makes you feel uneasy. And the house is nice, even though there is no TV.😁
Watching the translucent walls in the video is very confusing. The plan and the detalles are nice. I particularly liked the use of space in the bathroom área. Nice!
Personally, I miss the fireplace, it makes the place feel more soulful. And the laundry is too narrow (the refrigerator niche gets in the way), the space to the left of the washer/dryer is actually wasted. But there is a vestibule, that's a plus.
