This was absolutely brilliant! My favorite stretchy knit bind off transferred to a peg loom! You explained it so clearly, please don't worry about that at all!
Im currently making it but the yarn where the slipknot is connected is staying separate from tge rest of the scarf and looking out of order what do i do 😭😭
I am looking at a pattern, Trinigan, that purls back on the back/main color purl side, but your explanation and demonstration make perfect sense-thank you so much!
Working in the direction you knit. Move one peg forward from starting peg. Go down the front, go up the previous peg. Go behind the peg you went down on to repeat the same on next set.
Jeezz- I have been trying to figure out how to do this for a couple o weeks, but finally found this explanation. - I am hopeless at following a pattern other than charted but this is exactly what I needed to get started on my Nightshift- thank you sooo much. 😅 ( at least I hope so) starting my sample swatch now! Yippee 🎉
Thanks so much for your comment, I'm so glad I could help :). Starting off on the Nightshift can be a bit confusing because your doing mosaic knitting and the icord edge with very few stitches until you get the pattern established.
I Valerie, you just treat the edges the same no matter what kind of stitch you're using for your main row. i.e. I Cord edge, Purl, I Cord Edge Check out our blog yarndesignersboutique.com/blogs/news/how-to-i-cord-edging for full details.
It is, just be mindful of how heavy your chosen yarn it. Look for a yarn with plenty of loft and not much weight so your blanket or shawl doesn't stretch itself out of shape under the force of its own weight.
Thanks for your great video, I needed to know how to do this for cowls I'm making for Christmas. I watched someone else's video and she had me thoroughly confused and then never explained how to get the stitches off the loom. May seem elementary but if you've never done it before you wonder :)

Thank you for this! I’m fairly new to loom knitting and I’ve been experimenting with the drop stitch. I’ve never had the stitch work so that it actually looks nice and couldn’t figure out the reason. You’ve solved that for me in a short, clear video. Again- thanks!
