Lots changed since 1990s downtown Auckland was the same looking for yrs and yrs until the early 1990s some of those buildings were you started this video most of that wasn't there before 1990s the train station was not there were it is today it was further over by Rosebank Rd remnants of the old train station is still there to that old train station is now a lodge for University students in the city queens St used to have a train rail going up the middle of queens street but it ain't there now that was taken out when downtown Auckland started the transition to make and destroy old relic buildings from way back in the 1900s to Early 1990s I was attending a special FX make-up Academy with Weta production when lords of the rings was still being filmed anyway before 2020 I was a singer street busking with my band and we used to busk around the bottom of queens street but then COVID hot and it was trouble for us but we had to take a back seat and stop yrs on and my passion for singing isn't really there much anymore getting told u can't busk around Auckland shot my Passion but we understood why because of COVID so since then I've given up on busking for now I'm waiting til there is no COVID around then once that done then maybe I'll go back and make some money again
our city is a shadow of it's former self, definitely on this rise since covid but too many restrictions on traffic etc has affected small retail so only the big guns can operate. I have lived here all my life and I really enjoyed your video thanks 😊
Auckland is a very nice city. Apart of the CBD. It is dirty, horrible. dangerous. Looks like Bronx.nMaori greatly are responsible for that. Before Queen St was noble, great, vibrant, full of energetic businessmen... Tidy people. It is past now.
Black people? You mean kiwis of African descent. There are many here along with the Melanesian, Papuan, Fijian & Torres Straight Kiwis. New Zealand Aotearoa is mainly made up of over 70% Kiwis of European descent, & the main city centers have a large concentration of Asian kiwis.
Back in the 1980s there used to be a pie cart that parked at Narrow Neck Beach and sold a smoked snapper in béchamel sauce pie. It was one of the best pies I ever ate.
