Man I have not checked in for a while I cannot believe how much your life has changed! You're an attending, wife and mother now??? Congratulations! You have always been an inspiration ever since your sister first introduced me to your videos. I worked with her a couple of years ago too and she updated me a little on where you were at in life. It's crazy because our lives are pretty similar except I'm way behind you on school ha. I'm an M3 now about to finish Ob/Gyn service and I have 2 little ones myself! Thank you for being a great example as a physician (and now spouse and parent!) and providing people like me the encouragement to keep striving towards our goals.
Please Dr .. I like what you are doing ..can you please explain me the shift of your specialty? I would like to apply in emergency but I have no idea how is their time shift
@@1DOLLARS1828 hi, do you mean what are the hours worked for emergency medicine? It varies from 8-12 hour shifts. It can be morning, afternoon or night shift. You get a mix of it all.
I love your vlog. You're very blessed. Congratulations on everything 🙌🏾🙏🏾 maybe you could think about what shift or change in life you could make or different things you could do while still being a doctor but also being at homemaker (titus 2:5), which is a stay at home wife and mother to effectively raise your new born. Just a thought to consider or something to pray and ask God about 💕🙌🏾🙏🏾✨🤰🏾☺️
I have loved watching you blossom into the woman you are today, thank you for always taking the time to entertain us despite your very busy schedule, especially as a new mom- your hard work is very much appreciated. I wanted to ask if you come across or if you know of people starting medical school in their 40’s?
Love this blog and love seeing the authentic journey of a working professional and a mom you give me so much hope and in so inspiring! Thank you for taking us along this journey with you!! Sending you so much prayer and strength as you go through this process
Watching this makes me think of how much I do not miss pumping life! But you are right it’s doable just takes a lot out of you. It’s worth it for your sweet baby also. Welcome to the working mom club!
So happy for you! I just finished exclusively pumping for 1 year. It was a lot lol Try to eat while you pump. I always had a coconut water or peanut butter sandwich in my hand while I pumped. Also, once she hits the 6 month mark, I would supplement with formula.
Ms Avery is smart already with all of that chatting😊 Congratulations on securing that new job. Reduced commute time will be so refreshing. Wishing Stanley the happiest first Father’s Day 🎉🖤
Congrats to you!!! I am a med student and I am planning to buy an ipad but I dont know which storage should I pick 128 Gb or 256 Gb please I need some advice from you guys. Thank you for your help.
@@jeanalain1276 is the iPad school related and for taking notes? For my school laptop I mainly just took notes on it, and saved the PowerPoints. So id probably go with 128 gb.
Please try to get your calories in while working! You burn a TON working in the ER. I got way too thin and developed cellulitis when nursing. I now know that I probably wasn't eating enough... especially protein. I'd never had cellulitis before then (or after). Also, I regret not supplementing once in a while with some formula. I would have mixed them together. Congratulations on the new job!
Us in Namibia it’s 12 weeks maximum. So if you have a preterm baby who will be in NICU or so, you still get the same amount of weeks. Most people then opt to go to work and resume leave when their babies get home.
One day I hope that maternal and paternal leave (along with so much more…) reaches parity internationally. I really commend you as 16weeks seems like a blink compared to UK maternal leave which is 39weeks (paternity leave here is 2weeks). Look at Avery she’s gorgeous! I love that she was giving you the low down of her day cooing and chatting up a storm, soo cute! ☺️ Congrats on the new gig, hopefully the reduced commute will pay off in more “home time etc”. Thank you for sharing. Wishing you the best. ❤
