I'm a homeschooling mom of 2 and teaching Classical Conversations to my Scribbler and Foundations student. This channel is a collection of videos helpful to conveying IDEAS from the 5th edition of Classical Conversations Cycle 1 to young learners. My children are young and love music so many of the videos were chosen for their level or for us to discuss together. I live in Middle Tennessee and find a lot of geodes but not much agate I absolutely love your agate I sat here in astonishment at the many different kinds of agate you have I would love a sample of your agate and maybe I have something that I could trade you for a piece
I think the green and white stone is amazonite! The patterning in that rock would make it great for cutting cabochons out of and then making beads out of the scrap! Beautiful rock.

I’m glad I’m not the only rock crazy lady. I always get stopped in airports because my bags are full of rocks... When I moved cross country a majority of my trailer was rocks and books 😂

My daughter wants to start rock polishing. I told her that when I get come back from my deployment, we will start. But I don't know where to go rock hounding. We live in north Western Ga. Where would you suggest we go?
Fredrick Price I asked my mom and she says if she wants rocks to tumble any old stream should have some already smooth to tumble and polish. There’s agate in Summerville, Georgia but it’s not good to tumble. Dahlonega, GA has gold bearing streams, there are probably good tumbling rocks there.

Is there any possibility you could post your videos a little earlier? I know this is a lot to ask. I was able to access the first few videos and they were a tremendous help during our Science time. But, the past few weeks they have been posted a few days after our Community day. Have you ever thought of making your videos/materials accessible to Tutors on a donation basis? Perhaps creating a website? Just curious, Do you have a Science background?

I’m working on week 17 now, it’s a pretty short one so hoping to get recorded soon after my research. I don’t have a science background but I do have a research background and am passionate about learning.

I really appreciated your demonstration of the "tilt" experiment with the extra resources you created (earth and sun cut outs and arrows). You provided a more complete demonstration and explanation to how the earth's tilt affects the seasons. Thank you for sharing! Are you sharing your cut outs with only your CC community, or do you have them on CC connected or a blog by chance? I would love to use them for my class!
