Congratulations Kim on beating cancer. I lost a close friend to cancer, and she motivated me to quit my corporate job to do what I love full time, which lead to me being a full time yacht artist! I'll always remember her words: "life is short and so precious, so please try to enjoy every day and love what you do".
Going into a downturn, we always here about "Pent up Demand" . The lenders know how many boats are entering curtailment payments and the "On Hand" inventory count. Boats, Rv's & Autos. It's coming big time. B/2/75th Ranger Rgt The next 12 months will be "Danger Close"

I'm just a broke man that works everyday trying to get. A 195 tracker. With the 150 pro xs... One of these engines. Could buy me and 2 of my friends. A boat with a Engine and everything. I'm not complaining and I'm not hating I could have made better decisions. That's just crazy to me though.
3.4lt liter 3.3x 3x liter 2.5 liter Are mercurys best and fastest outboards 19ft eliminator 93, 2.5, 136mph Better acceleration, better holeshot, better noise, it isnt a car engine, but a real traditional outboard, 4 strokes with superchargers are what outboard giys used to race agisnt, no real outboard guy likes a 4 stroke. Performance, will always be with two atroke, turbocharging is needed to make any 4 stroke good. Agian this wouldnt make mercury what they are and what an outboard is. A two stroke v8 omc 4.0 would eat this engine alive as it holds the world record at 176mph 181mph , at 600hp 10,000 rpm. So unless your turbocharging forget it, lol. And it still isnt a real outboard, its a car emgine outboard guys used to race with trim. Twp strokes dont even pollute like they say, for 30 years ive been at lake mead, ive never seen or had an issue, the seadoo two-stroke s were the ones that were the issue At any rate a 450r runs 122 on a liberator Its slower accelerating, and hole shot, and sounds like garabage Look up 450r liberator yellow. Blah even if i had the money to. Let them rip me off, The oil is the other issue, 4 stroke bath oil absorbing water constantly in that environment, opposed to two stroke oil, continuously lubbing the motor, better life, less wear, no oil spills, and when your 4 stroke starts to gain hours, head gaskets, valves, belts and other fun things that cost much more thsn needed fail. Oil leaks like your Cadillac, With lack of performance and not hearing my traditional reving two stroke, not to mention smell , then the price of 48-68 thousand Im good and everyone else is a sucker
But do they still ingest water if you come off plane too fast, killing the engine not covered by warranty???? I still run 2 strokes. And the reason is because the water jackets on outboards will foul from minerals in the water. it is not preventable. It is not salt it is calcium and magnesium carbonate, and it precipitates from the water onto Hot surfaces. Heads have to be pulled to clean all the cooling passages and on an overhead cam four-stroke engine that's a nightmare. The two stroke was the best outboard engine because of that. We won't even discuss how they get cylinder blow-by into the oil diluting the viscosity with gasoline because the operating temperature is too low.... Because they're raw water cooled Make no mistake, twenty years after the larger 4-stroke markets hit the market they are still riddled with problems. ... Problems with no solutions. Instead of making their engines more robust the manufacturers focused on chasing making larger and larger engines because of all the free money that was floating around leading people to buy bigger boats. These engines are for people with deep pockets that can afford to have a dealership do seriously expensive maintenance... Or replace when needed.
