Twas a trade in. The crazy thing is when we got it, it wasn’t spraying out of the crimp. I think the recent heat and angle of the hose is what caused it
Always go for a Kawasaki or if you can’t a kholer. These new Briggs epically the single cylinder with the plastic cams are very shitty and break and your having to take apart the whole motor to replace it all because Briggs wanted to save money making an engine. The old Briggs was good but all there new stuff is 💩
Yep the new ones are garbage. We’re not a big fan of the Kohler’s up here at our dealer either tho. Kawis tho we’ve replaced one because it burned a little bit of oil besides that most reliable engine I’ve seen on a mower.
@@Snapoff.I have a John Deere JS45 push mower that I will put money into instead of buying a new mower. It actually has an all metal engine besides a few covers and nice deck. It’s got a 190cc 8.75 INTEK. I like the power it makes. Only issue is it doesn’t want to start hot. I checked the valves and they were fine. I suspect a bad coil as I’ve heard others with the same issue with that series of 190cc OHV inteks. Only push mowers I would buy would be commercial. All metal and a Kawasaki engine, Honda or those Kohler command pro motors seem solid. I have multiple Japanese motors and they always run good and are reliable. It’s ether that or old American Briggs or tecumsehs that were actually made to last. Can never go wrong with a Kawasaki. They make awesome dirt bikes!
@@Snapoff.yeah I need to get a spark tester. I suspect that what it is because I have another older Briggs with a 190 and it pulls over easier than the John Deere. If I turn it off after starting first pull from dead cold than it takes like 20-30 pulls to start it again.
Them Kohler engines are strong I got one of them little 24hp twins I put it on an old mower that thing pulled a 2003 chevy silverado like it was nothing
That sounds tragic one time. I went to dump a 5 gallon pal of oil in bulk oil storage and dumped it all over myself. Had to wear a pink John Deere shirt for the rest of the day😂
Idk why people think Lowe’s and Home Depot have their own line of lawn mower. Deere/ Cub cadet all send their mowers from the factory to those stores. Now some models are dealer exclusive like the Z900 series depending on where you live. And when someone says they got their Deere from a box store and it was crap it’s because the store workers do not set the mower up right after they take it out of the crate.
What you said is so tragically wrong. You realize the people who set those up 9 times out of ten are John Deere techs from dealers😂 I know because I’m one of the guys that does that. Everything besides the z500’s are garbage at the box stores. The box stores can only sell s series lawn tractors and z300’s and z500’s. I ain’t never seen a x300, x500, x700, Z700 at any box store😂 John Deere won’t give them the licensing for those machines. We don’t even like dealing with the box stores, only reason it’s available is to compete with the cheaper machines.
Not trying to justify them scalping a rough lot so bad it damaged the deck, but that yolk was a bit puny lol. Every manufacturer is cutting costs and using trash components now. Even the big boys like JD. Its like the 90's MTD nightmare all over again lol.
My friend's Aussie looks and sounds like she will rip you apart.....but she completely fails on the follow thru. She's just a food mercenary. She is also the most loving animal I have ever met...but she has a bark that I have no idea where it comes from...but it is intimidating if you don't know her. She's a big suck and wants belly rubs and treats.
Stay away from john deere yard equipment. I work on about 300 machines a year at my shop and I can honestly say john deere is garbage compared to its cheap competition. Hoods go to shit and they become a peeling and blisting mess no matter how much you clean them.
Sir I’ll be honest with you, your dead wrong. I have customer with LA115s that are 20+ years old that look brand new. The x300 and x500s are incredibly reliable. But when you don’t maintain your equipment, and run it until it don’t run no more, your gonna have issues and they’re gonna be clapped out. The issue is people buy a John Deere and beat it because “it should be tougher”. In all reality when you pay that premium price it’s for the services as well. Such as John Deere warranties which are untouchable compared to the 2 year warranty you get at a Lowe’s. It’s called the epic garante, if you have us service your equipment every year we will extend your warranty up to 10 years. No manufacturer or small business can compete with that. I’ll garante it that there are 30,000 customers in the upstate ny area that love they’re John Deere and will consistently buy our product for these reasons. But hey what do I know I just work for the people. I don’t run a small mom and pop shop🤷♂️
@@Snapoff. I don't run a small shop either Im just telling you what I see and numbers don't lie. John deere lawn equipment is largely hated. Look at the sell charts vs other machines there is no comparison. I do thank you for you opinion. Plus John Deere don't make the Kohler, Kawasaki or Briggs engines on them so if they last for 20 years that's not due to John deere lol
@@Snapoff. your name is Deere guy so I don't think this is going anywhere you have the right to think what you like don't mean your right. Don't mean to offend your JD look the farm equipment yeah is good stuff but the mowers are all overpriced junk. I have pallets of used parts and most come from junk JD I don't know what to tell you. Why do I get so many with issues and why so many get scrapped vs let's say a older craftsman mowers.
@@SoutheastanglerLLC you scrapped any x300 or x500s with hydraulic lift assists? And yea the older John Deere’s are gonna be beat up. It’s the nature of owning a lawn mower. And I do wanna say even though we don’t agree I appreciate ur time to have this debate with me. But I fully believe in the equipment we sell and work on. Maybe you’ve had a bad experience with em, but I don’t have those experiences. John Deere’s are by far my favorite pieces of equipment. Coming from someone who grew up on a farm that never had green until the 1327 John Deere discbine my grandparents bought. John Deere also revolutionized the turf side of the industry. They brought the riding lawn mowers to Americans and capitalized in both turf and ag. Fourth in sales for construction. One of the first companies to make a miniature tractor and sell it at mass to the American people with all sorts of implements, snowblowers, tillers, mower decks, plows, blades. I mean the list goes on and on.
Are you not hungry? Do your kids have what they want and deserve? Then never question why people are willing to give you easy money. Remember, easy money makes up for the hard dollar.
I ask you the same question? I work for a company, I don’t see that money. You the customers are the ones that should be worried about your money. And me trying to save you that money. I get what ur saying, and don’t get me wrong we will happily take your money but why buy a system designed to make it easy then to not use it and pay 313.19 to have us service it?
@@Snapoff. in a utopian world I get your point. But, business is business. What would be your response if your boss said tomorrow morning, you’re gonna start washing my dishes and being a butler instead of being a mechanic….. all of the sudden your wage comes into question right? Same principles.
Because there's some delinquents that have such sad lives that all you have to do in your free time as young adults is knock over garbage cans?.......Go you.....
Don’t be lazy, bring them in. Otherwise on a windy day they blow out in the road. Don’t be lazy and take care of your stuff. Sad when your to lazy to bring your trash cans in.🤦♂️
