As a 34 year old man, this floods my eyes with tears. Having been through so much in life and all, I’ve gone through even more with losing my mother to pancreatic cancer. Just over a year ago, my father died of congestive heart failure with a ruptured spleen from which the factor to it was his respiratory distress. I never thought I could miss my father so much as I do miss my mother. My dad and I weren’t on the best of terms even before and after my mom died. In fact, my dad and I did have more than our fair share of bickers and all, but as his health was rapidly deteriorating in the short time he had left, he did make amends with me on what all happened between us, which was all I ever wanted between us, besides just him to take me serious. I guess he could see how I take life serious, that coming from his dad’s (my grandfather) side. The doctors tried to bring him back from his afib, but it was to no avail. There is no question about it that I do miss my father as much as I miss my mother. Mom? Dad? I know I will see y’all again one day. Goodbyes are not always forever.
I feel you... both of my sisters were murdered and that same year I lost my uncles, my grandmother, and my best friend Followed by a divorce. So I feel ya my friend, and I truly believe it won't ever get better but I try the best I can not to give up for my kids
