Given this is almost a year ago, it would be interesting to know what Duolingo has in store for existing Super subscribers who don't have access to the Role Play and Explain My Answer features that Klinton spoke about. Max was mentioned during his segment at DuoCon 2023, however it's still not generally available to all paid subscribers and limited only to French and Spanish. I can imagine how much of a challenge the company has in trying to scale this to more languages such as Chinese, Dutch etc. etc.. I'm hopeful they're working on updates which will delight and accelerate our learning for whichever language we choose. Perhaps they can accelerate their efforts through an acquisition or two. 🤔 Companies like TalkPal AI and Talkio AI seem to have cracked the code in enabling conversations with AI for many languages!!
I’ve done business with Walmart for over 25 years, working for different companies helping design and sell a variety of solutions from displays to robotics and software, and it’s been extremely interesting to see its transition from a traditional retailer, to a tech company.
Coincidentally I’m actually working on these very items. Recent endeavor, but I find it worth the effort. One of the main goals is four hours of focus each day and then be done with work. I’m finally in a position with the company that will not only allow me to work in this manner, but am also developing the tools and systems that the company will be using in the future. I’m excited about it because in my effort to reduce my hours by becoming more efficient, in the process I’ll be having an impact, and doing the same for others in the company. AI will of course be a part of it all.

I'm a senior Web Dev and have been approached by a person who has a Masters degree in Economics, and he wants to partner up to build a Saas project which will present 50 KPIs for whatever medium/big company that inputs its balance sheets (not sure the correct terms but I hope you get the idea) Apparently a massive slice of these companies don't already do this (We're in Brazil) or they pay massive amounts of money for it through consultants. So I've been told that this wouldn't work out without a further consultancy service. Also that companies wouldn't really trust to use this Saas due to sensitive information. And some said it would be a useful tool for financial consultants. I wonder what you all have to say about it. Peace and love to you all.
