Oh, I still love Dean Martin, his voice, in the movie, he was fun, he was so handsome... I was born in '44 and I still listen to the beautiful music he made 💖🎶💖 PS. I'm, I was born an Elvis fan, still is, but I ofte listen to Dean M here on Utube 💖🎶💖🎶💖🎶💖 To say with ABBA : Thank You for The Music 😁 One can't live without it 🎶💖
I will never know pure joy again. That was said in video Dean Martin to his exwife after there son was killed. So true when you loose a child, young adult or middle adult its devastating.
Oh wow Dean is a pussy bout Jerry, but I think he is the type to hold on to crap. Dean , did get kinda screwed in their time together, but like Deans said, he had all those kids n even before , he was a worker. I liked what Jerry said bout it better. He felt bad it was that way , bothe were driven to "do this" Iloved Dean since forever , but didnt he see?It was his particular , pay into this thing. He was funny ,verg funny, smart and good actor. If he wzs a singer, theyd say he had ledfect pitch in acting. Plus he was gorgeous.
A late thought. Dean ,used up everything he had pursuing his dream , it was different times too, he provided for his family and had alot of personal pain-losing our kids, well..?..
Great video! Dean sounded like most men good at what they do but don't want to talk about personal stuff that's why I'm single Probably the only ones who really knew him was frank Sammy Jerry and Jeannie she was a lucky woman the song good hearted woman loving a good timing man describes them well❤
I loved Dean so much. So handsome, great singer and entertainer. Never missed his show. So terrible that he lost his son which really broke his heart. Jeanne was there for him even after the divorce. I know they still loved each other. I still listen to his music, and can still see that sweet smile of his. Love you always, Dean.
WHAT A MAN! DEAN MARTIN WAS FUN AND JUST A TOTAL DELIGHT! HIS LOOKS DIDN'T HURT HIM EITHER! GORGEOUS, TALL, DARK HAIR AND A GOLDEN OLIVE COMPLEXION AND HE LOVED PEOPLE AND THE WORLD LOVED HIM BACK! IT"S BEEN OVER FIFTY YEARS SINCE HIS VARIETY TV SHOW AND IT IS STILL FRESH AND DELIGHTFUL AND IT MAKES YOU FEEL LIKE DEAN IS IN YOUR LIVING ROOM! MISSING DEAN MARTIN? THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH WORDS TO CONVEY HOW THIS MAN IS TRULY MISSED! I WATCHED HIS "THE DEAN MARTIN SHOW" EVERY WEEK, I WAS IN HIGH SCHOOL AND HAD A CRUSH ON HIM"! SO DREAMY, SO SEXY, SO INCREDIBLY GOOD LOOKING AND A VOICE THAT DREW YOU INTO HIM! WOW!!
Dean was the ultimate entertainer. Better even than Frank. He could do it all. Everyone enjoyed him and his talent. I certainly did. It’s a shame his closing act was so sad.
I was lucky to see Dean twice at Bally’s Grand in Las Vegas, during the first performance I saw of Dean, I was lucky to shake his hand as he was going off stage. He had a hell of a grip for a guy in his 70’s. I always loved Dean and was so sad to see him go. I was a big fan of his tv show and his movies. There will never be a guy with that much class, ever!
Well, I realize this is just one guy talking here.......But watching Jerry Lewis in the presence of greatness on the level of Mr. Dean Martin is simply annoying. PERIOD
I typically don't leave comments, but here I make an exception. Really glad you uploaded this. I've watched it several times. A special man. I've watched the Roasts so many times, the first when I was a teen, and now with RU-vid, over and over, because of Dean and Don Rickles. It takes me back to a happier time. Again, thanks so much.
Dean was.most probably the poster child fora loving quote of remembrance, “from first beginnings, out to undiscovered ends, nothings worth the winning, save laughter and the love of friends”….
An anecdote I have carried in my memory of the day in 1956 I spent with the Dean Martin family at their pool party is quite amusing … as I interacted w/ Dean Martin Himself! … you see! It was noticed that I hadn’t eaten with the other kids because what they were eating didn’t appeal to me … so Mr Dean Martin took a interest and we interacted … it was quite amusing and he and I took a walk … I’m curious if anyone is still around from that day who remembers because I would love to squash all doubt from those few I’ve told because I should have never been at that party! What I hold is an amusing Anecdote of Dean Martin and me JOHNNY LOVATO … they actually thought I was someone else’s Son of whom they knew and I got the impression didn’t like very well … reach out if anyone who was there recalls or I’ll just carry the memory in my heart … I’d like to share the rest of the story … No Paul Harvey jokes please!😜
… just after the Martin/Lewis split 1956, I as a 5 or 6 year old boy spent the day w/ The Martins! … ask anyone who was there because it was a pool party that I CRASHED! And Dean Martin’s oldest son, I believe his name is Craig, scarred the “Dickens” out of me to put it mildly … ask him! …
I never had a crush on many celebrities as a teenager but I did on Dino. He was so gorgeous. I remember thinking he had it all and how lucky he was. So sad he died at 35. You can tell Dean was never the same and lost interest in living.
After watching this wonderful documentary, I have a memory I would like to share. My customer was one of the greatest psychics in the world, Peter Hurkos. When Dino Jr.s plane disappeared in the mountains, Dean called him, inconsolable. Peter told Dean to bring something that belonged to Dino Jr. for him to touch because he was a "psychometrist," someone who needed to touch something that belonged to the missing person. Dean laid his National Guard flight suit into his outstretched arms, and Peter told me that he immediately felt sick to his stomach, the kind of fear a person experiences just before they know they are going to die. He sadly told Dean, "They won't find enough of him to bury." A week later, a friend of mine who was in the search and rescue team that found the wreckage of his jet fighter the rugged mountain terrain told me, "We didn't find enough of him to bury." Apparently he had high explosives on board at the time of the crash. I had never shared Peter's prediction with my friend or anyone else, because they would have never believed me. But I have never forgotten the story, all these years later. After Dino Jr. died, I noticed Dean sitting at his favorite table at The Hamburger Hamlet, just down the street from his old joint, Dino's Lodge. He was drinking Jack Daniels and Coke, and I could just feel his pain. He was wearing those heavy horn rimmed reading glasses that he always wore. I said hello, and he looked up and smiled, but I could tell that he had already lost his will to live, just waiting for death to come. Not long after he passed away, but I know for sure that they are together now, always.
