Oh, you’ve touched a nerve. SO many ("younger") people today have the mentality of "If it’s an old game with old graphics, I won’t even give it a chance." And that’s a shame on so many levels. Hey, if you feel that way about a lot of other old stuff, you and I could collab a really interesting discussion sometime.
On a positive note, though, it was a remarkable stroke of good luck that there was a big ol’ "SUBSCRIBE" sign right on the very path you took. I commend your dedication, but I think it only fair to tell you that "go the extra mile" isn’t meant to be taken literally.
Well, if you’re going to fall from a great height, you might as well be chained to a friend so you can bring them down with you. Hey, that’s what a friend is-someone who stays by your side through all the trouble they’ve caused you. Right?
Hey, Conall. New discoverer of yours. Man, so many thoughts come to my mind! I really, really like the sort of duality of the two channels, as one is sort of a medley of humor, games and miscellany; and the other is more sort o reflective, like glimpses into some of the thought processes that inform your approach to creating. I don’t know if this will quite make sense, but your humor seems to run the gamut from yesteryear slapstick to a very intellectual / “thinking man’s” wit. And that has echoes (again, maybe just to me) of some of the humorists and comics of many decades past. Yet all of this has your own unique twist. I daresay you are more well-spoken than most anyone I’ve seen, and the way you control and modulate your voice itself seems like you have a natural gift for talking. In all, forgive the long nature of this comment, but I do like to try to encourage people (in a hopefully meaningful way) as I observe something that I can really appreciate about them. (And, perhaps it’s fitting that “Nobody” commented on “Nothing”! … Oh, well-it sounded more clever in my head!)
That made you realize you’re not funny, LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING. Kindergarten, first day there. You try to tell me a funny joke. Crickets. Next day you pull the same card and say the same joke. Crickets. That cycle repeats itself every year even when I wasn’t in your class. Eat rocks.
