It is indeed a very impressive site. YOu can get there by bus if there is a performance during summer, there are buses leaving every 5 pm. If you only want to visit the site, you must go by bus to Nafplio, and get another bus to Epidaurus. This site is visited easier if you are with a car 🙂
@@清少納言-e1g. Corinth is an amazing area, it has so many ruins to visit, the history buff's paradise 😀 I am glad you enjoyed the video and hope next time you visit Greece you go to Corinth😊.
My dream is to visit Kea one day, especially because I am an enthusiast of the Britannic, which was the Titanic's sister ship and sank off the coast of Kea in World War I, and I would love to dive on its wreck one day 😍
It is very easy to get to Kea from Athens, and I hope one day you do so :) I have a full guide on Kea island here: travelthegreekway.com/things-to-do-on-kea-island/
Hi Karen! The steps to climb to the Areopagus are solid iron with a handle to lean on, and not too many - I think something like 20 steps or so, so it should be fine for seniors. They can also walk on the paved area on top of Areopagus which is quite safe. However, any areas out of the paved path will be very slippery so I think they shouldn't try it :)
@@travelthegreekwayoh this is so helpful!! Thanks so much for this sound advice!! May I know how to blend in more w locals attire-wise? They say looking touristy makes us more vulnerable to pickpockets. Thank you!!
@@musicalkey I don't think the problem is blending but rather how absent-minded or not aware of a potential petty theft situation. I am saying that because we - the locals - also become victims of petty theft. Just keep with you only the very necessary and try to have your bag in front of you at all times especially if you will be using the metro and you will be fine. :) You can find some more info here travelthegreekway.com/first-time-to-greece/
Oh thank you this is so helpful and encouraging!!! This is much appreciated!!! Is there a place in Plaka for coffee that you would highly recommend? Thank you!
Great walking video around. The scenery is amazing. It is great to see the view around. Thanks for showing us the experience. New subscriber here. Let's stay connected! 😉
Hi. I visited Thiva after an interval of 20 years on October last year. It was quite different from what I had remembered. I was surprise very much. I found many places where I had saw last year. If you turned that corner, I could see the hotel I stayed. Thank you. (Akiko from Japan)
I know what you mean. It does look so much nicer to visit today and every time I visit, I see something new and imrpoved! I think the construction of the wonderful archaeological museum in 2007 contributed to that.
Grad je fantastičan, starinski, uličice tesne. Svojevremeno bio je gl.grad Grčke. Bila sam u njemu tri puta i oduševio me(zavisi šta ko očekuje da vidi i doživi)
I have been dozens of times and I love it each and every time! I always discover new things in Nafplio that I had never noticed before. It is my favorite town🥰
I agree! Byzantine art is so beautiful and it inspires feelings that do not necessarily come from religion, but more from architectural beauty, and spirituality.
