I was baffled by Knight of Cups for about 3/4 of its runtime, and then I realised how much of my own 'baggage' (perceptions of cinema and how a movie should be) I was projecting onto it and it was like I flipped a switch. I can't say that I "love" the film, but I respect it immensely - I believe that it is wildly ambitious in its reach. I also watched it without a full understanding of Malick's filmography, some glaring omissions that would inform his cinematic language / his approach of poetry-as-cinema. Malick has absolutely created his own lane, two of his films are probably in my top 10 greatest ever film experiences (the extended versions of The New World and The Tree of Life).
Doom wasn’t one of my games, thought the movie was fun. You can go back to 2005 DOOM message boards and the fans were tearing the film apart just off trailers before came out, because “pinky” have wheels and not mechanical legs. Fans can be dipshits. The film wasn’t bad.
This somehow popped up my feed and i clicked on it instantly. These were the good old days. Also, reminds me of a certain point in my life and its really weird it popped up just when i was thinking about the times then. Cant help but feel nostalgic.
There’s Jeepers Creepers. So no. The most horrendous movies are not made by the nicest people. People are more complex than that. Personally I think everyone is terrible as a default until proven otherwise.
Not useful in plot my ass I wanna see a horror comedy where a character is trying really hard to plug in their damn phone but just can’t get it right and dies
The actor playing the obviously dirty detective in the first clip is fantastic. I saw this movie over 10 years ago I remember nothing about it but I automatically knew that that dude was guilty as hell. It's like John Bernthal's ability to make you hate him in the walking dead. It's nothing but fantastic acting.
I would probably say JJ Abrams understands Star Wars better than Rian Johnson and made the better Star Wars movie but Rian Johnson probably makes better movies than Abrams, or at least in my opinion.
'Release Window'? That's funny..only thing worse than this? is the wait for STRANGER THINGS. I wonder how Showtime Bonus Episode will explain why they're not children anymore?
Emilia you are breathtakingly beautiful and always absolutely perfect 🌹Only you can do that you make every movie better only about the fact you are involved you played the best Sarah Connor ever some more parts with you please 🌹
LOVE that she stood her ground on her morals! I never paid attention to this woman before the Scream issue, and have been a big fan of her since then - will watch everything she puts out!
Perri your interviews are always the best! So respectful towards your guests and what you ask them, and always making these Ladies Nights so fun for us to sit back and watch! 🥰
