Ego-free motor films. We love the machines and that's what we focus on.
Every iconic bike and car has a story to tell. That's part of what makes them so special. There's the rivalry between the Kawasaki Z1 and Honda CB750 and the development of the six cylinder superbike, the Honda CBX. There's the lengths Eagle go to to achieve perfection with their Jaguar E-type and the story of how the Porsche 911 was almost cancelled forever.
We focus on the stories and the history of the most iconic classic cars and bikes. We also share the experience of what it's like to ride a Honda CBX, Kawasaki Z1 or Suzuki GT750 and how it feels to drive an Eagle E-Type or air-cooled Porsche 911.
For us, it's all about the machines themselves and the way they make us feel.
If you feel the same way, you've come to the right place.
Had a friend that had one of these, just like the one here. It didn’t run. When I found out he had it I asked him if he knew what it needed. He didn’t know. I told him I had every other Friday off. All he needed to do is throw money at me, I would get it going for him. Every thing but the top end was good. I had the heads rebuilt with new valve seats, valve guides, seals and springs. I honed the cylinders, installed new piston rings, got all new top end gaskets, rebuilt the carbs.the bike ran great after balancing the carbs. New brake fluid res. In the form of a 1980 G/S throttle, put duel stainless brake lines on it, new pads. It stopped on a dime. My friend rode it around for a couple of years then sold it. Wish I could have bought it………. Did the same with my first BMW, a 83 R65.
Straight out of college, bought a blue 1977 GS750 and toured the U.S. with buddies on a Triumph Bonneville and Honda CB750. Still have the bike and still runs smooth as ever. One memory is being stopped, and then surrounded, by 4 cop cars in Oregon. After a half hour of interrogation that determined, no, I was not the guy that had just robbed a local bank and made his getaway on a blue motorcycle.
Grate video Pete...❤ May father had the Daytona Oringe R90S in 1976/77? and his wife was from Holland two. Whish he cold have managed to keep it, I like the Bmw Flat twins, there a Stout Road bike.
Actually Independent Dyno testing of the LC 350 shortly after it's introduction Found only 37 HP (often substantiated, Not an anomally result) ! Yamaha has Loooong history of Bullshit Hp claims. Handling is OK.. but NOT phenomenal... unless comming off a Vespa.
Great video, had a few bikes and lived through all this starting with my new 78 honda750F SS,i,m 67 now and am looking for something cool from 78-83,doesnt matter,CB KZ or GS ,750-1100!!
I remember going to the Honda shop in Kansas City and seeing rows of CB 750s lined up in the shop . It was an amazing sight , just as it would be 50 years later !
I wonder if any EXPERIENCED motorcycle techs could comment 💭 on longevity of 2 vs 4 strokes - like how many miles max have you seen on either ? Also most 2s were air cooled longevity on those vs the far less common water-cooled (usually multi cylinder) 2 stroke "super bikes" like the Suzuki GT750 'water buffalo' ?
You've gotta give Suzuki Motor Co credit, they come out with unique offerings ! This GT750 was definitely one. My 1986 Samurai 4x4 was truly a crazy fun little Ute turned rock crawler. I also enjoyed my 1987 "Quadzilla" LT500 Quadracer a single cylinder 500cc water-cooled "Thumper" a real torque monster. This was the quad they stopped making as they were deemed too powerful & fast to be safely ridden. I agree it was gnarly beast with more horsepower than chassis lol. Now I enjoy my Suzuki V-Strom DL 650 Adventure Touring bike as much as those prior rigs !
Sadly, these venerable & utterly HIP Zukis were overshadowed by the more popular Honda 750-Four (for 4 Stroke). I didnt have either but saw plenty of them on the streets of my hometown San Diego thru the mid late 90s. They look just awesome - Im a BIG Suzuki fan - and will watch raptly. I rock a 2008 V-Strom DL650 currently - I truly believe that the wizards at Suzuki have managed to take the collected virtues of my dozen odd bikes Ive owned since age 13 (Im 60 now) and rolled them into one practical & outrageously fun ride ! Thanks for posting this - David in Texas
We put multiple different Kawi 2 stroke triples to the test in the '80's. You had to know how to wrench to keep them on the road and how to ride to minimum crashes which are sure to occur.
Those are all golden bikes for golden era, Yamaha RD 350, RX 100, Suzuki GT 250 should come back and Govts should liberalize emission norms for these small bikes.Thx.
