I wanted to make videos showing the firearms I own and use. Hopefully these videos help folks make educated decisions about what firearms may be best for their purpose.
The barrel length is negligible as to be moot. We’re talking a 16th on an inch for crying out loud! However the Glock is shorter and thinner…why the heck does it weigh the same?!?! The CZ has a better trigger, better sights, a safer platform (DA/SA is inherently safer). The mags are all steel on a CZ rather than thin steel wrapped with polymer. Of course Glock aftermarket is better you have to change everything out in order for it to be a half way decent gun. Hey, Glock goes bang…however it was far from the first polymer pistol (the first was introduced in 1955, Gaston didn’t come up with the idea) nor was it the first striker fired pistol. CZ for me is the far better choice, ergonomics, sights, trigger, are all right in the pocket…not to mention the price point!!
If you have a PX4 try this. Solid metal guide rod with Cr Si recoil spring - $25.Conver to decock only - FREE! 10# HAMMER SPRING -$10. Langdon tactical optimized trigger bar - $75. Rubberized grip from Amazon - $15. For $125, it's now competition worthy. And you're Welcome.
The only weak points that I found with mine was the firing pin retaining pan. It does get chewed up and you need to spend $11 and get a steel one from Cajun gun Works. personally, I don’t know how it qualified for NATO because the firing pin retaining pan is a noun issue and a weak point of the gun but after you replace it, it is a dream
I have a PCR on order. I'm debating if I should replace the grips with thin grips by lok. I have small hands and it might be better with the thin grips.
FINALLY someone who’s gone with the stock and appreciates these beautiful firearms for what they are. NO UPGRADES NECESSARY!🏆🙏👍. I have both and will not change a thing on either!!
Love the CZ but as long as I am in my 15rd restricted state….I am not waisting my time on any more CZs. It’s crazy because no matter the model I have(except for the P-09/P-07/P-10F) every single company even CZ themselves doesn’t have any 15rd magazines in stock. Haven’t for the last 3 years. Idk how come they aren’t jumping on this making it a priority to make 15rd magazines because a lot of states are going to go to 10-15rd max capacity magazine laws. You spend good money and get 2 stinking 10 round full size magazine. Spend $40 on a +5 base plate and spring to convert your 10rd mags to 15. Love the firearms but this lame state is causing me to miss out. My P-07 and P-09 are the only ones I’ll carry concealed. All the others are safe queens until I move because this ban isn’t going anywhere and $100 to get 3 +5 base plates? Can’t do it.
You didn't demonstrate the trigger reset or trigger pull lbs. measurement. I'm greedy and have the P-09 Suppressor Ready & P-07 Suppressor Ready. 2 bowls of ice cream is better than 1 An interesting comparison would be P-09 vs VP9 vs PDP Full Size
problem for me is the ergonomics are the biggest reason to get the CZ, the phantom fits like a glove, the p-09 just seems like a quality generic gun. I'd rather the get the vp9 if the phantom is off the market.
3-2024 the P227 is discontinued now, and prices are climbing. 14 Rd magazines hard to source and $$$. The P227 Elite gives you extended beaver tail, short reset trigger, night sights. Full length slide rails, Quality . Made in New Hampshire, not turkey🦃. 💥☮️🇺🇲
I have chosen to buy this for my carry. I live in California and can only buy the model with the 10 round mags. Can someone please answer for me whether the 10 round mag that is California compliant is subpar then the steel 14 round mag that comes with the main model? I have read that it sucks. That the firearm is the exact same, but that the 10 round mags that come with the firearm are not of the same quality. Is this true? Or is it the same quality mags just that they can only carry 10? Are there better, aftermarket, 10 round mags to buy for this pistol? Or am I left with the stock California compliant set up ?
I always have at least one Phantom in stock. Such a handsome cold war era pistol. If CZ would make an optics ready version of the P07/09, it would be perfect.
I have the CZ 75 D compact and CZ 75 P-01 and have been having issues with failure to load on both. Both guns are new, I have maybe maximum 300 rounds through each. I have tried different ammo, and each time I take them to the range, I'm having failure to load issues with both. Yesterday my 75D Compact froze up. It would not fire, so I dropped the magazine, tried pulling the slide to empty the chamber, but the slide was stuck. I pulled the hammer back and tried firing it down range but just got the click of the hammer, I did it a second time and nothing. It finally expelled the round on the third attempt. I thought it was just a fluke, so I put in a different magazine, and after the third shot, the same thing happened. I couldn't even pull the slide back. everything was just stuck.
I recently picked up an SP2022 from an individual to augment my vehicle's GHB. I'm rather surprised by the $40-48 price per mags, though, as well as the total lack of surplus LEO mags available.
This was an excellent review; thank you. I have owned a CZ 75B for decades and found it to be flawless, easily comparable to - and often superior to - other top-tier 9x19mm autoloaders (such a H&Ks, Sigs, Walthers, S&Ws,Rutgers, etc.). I recently purchased a P-07, principally because: > I wanted a traditional hammer-fired DA/SA for my EDC. > CZ quality, reliability, accuracy, ergonomics, sights and trigger are all outstanding. > I wanted capacity, recoil attenuation, sight radius and picture, and barrel length that are somewhat greater than the many, good 9mm mini-compacts provide, yet in a small enough package to be comfortably concealed. > I wanted a SA trigger pull that is crisp, light and non-gritty. The P-07 met all of the foregoing requirements and I was able to purchase one for an unexpectedly low price.
