Just got a modal pants thinking it's more sustainable, and then watched this video to realize my ignorance. Must learn more for sustainable life! Thanks for this informative video!
I did a clean up after trying everything for Autumn-Winter. I brought everything that was to small, to big or I did not like anymore to a resale shop in my city, she took everything except one item that was to summery…Felt so good ! And I am going to have money back…Great 🎉 Thanks Daria❤
This is a fantastic video. It covers so many issues that relate to fashion, self-image and social pressure. For example, so many advisors say older women should stop wearing patterns including florals, especially if the florals are large patterns. I have recently realised that the clothes I like the most are those that make me happy. I have given up on my serious career clothes and now wear those colours and patterns that make me feel good. Thank you xx
I'll definitely consider making one. The purple T-shirt is from Cos men's collection. Got it because of the color as it's a such rare and beautiful shade.
Love this! It inspired me to go through my storage and pull out my fall pieces. For the question regarding bringing a summer dress on vacation: unless you are open to buy a dress there should you need it, I'd err on the side of packing it. Summer dresses are light, so you won't bulk up your luggage too much. And who knows what's available there... Sustainable shopping might not be an option everywhere sadly.
Really interesting video & it was helpful to see your thought process & have a reminder of how much we can do with reasonably little clothing, thanks Daria. My view: the patterned shirt that matches the shorts would look better with the orange-tan trousers you already have than the “new” brown ones, and the lighter orange-tan shirt would look better with the “new” trousers than the orange-tan ones, but none of the options would look especially “wrong”. Like you say, though, if you don’t feel it, you won’t wear it.
Woolen chocolate brown trousers are a timeless classic, definitely worth it. Brown is supposed to be all the rage this F/W. Hopefully, you'll find the perfect pair.
This was soo fun! I did feel a bit sad in the end that you’re shopping experience was so disappointing in general, although I hope the trousers will work out! Wonder if you could still use your budget but on vintage or second hand pieces instead? I feel like that’s the best place to get unique fun non generic items at the moment. Would be fun to see if you can find anything 🤷🏻♀️ enjoy your holiday
Like others I think your to try video would be fun. Absolutely agree about clothing has got boring. I hope you have bought those pants I sense they would be lovely on you. Have a great holiday.
The summery colorful blouse could carry you into late fall with a thin long sleeved t-shirt or turtleneck. I believe you had a few? If not, it's good to have a couple, especially for your active life, which certainly would benefit from layering & versatility! Love the idea of using canva. It's such a nice app. I went through my summer and fall collections following last week's video, and now I might even make up a canvas closet! If I do I'll share on the community chat!
I prefer to wear a jacket rather than having many layers. But in general, I agree that layering is indeed so versatile, especially for an active lifestyle. Please do share if you make your visual guide! 😍
I love this video, Daria ❤. It's reassuring to see you struggle with the same things as I do. This interchangeable concept is incredible but indeed there is a difference between a theorectical outfit match and how it makes us feel overall 😊.
Thank you for the interesting video, Daria! It was inspiring to following your practical reasoning! The green glasses suit you very much 🙂 I always wanted to ask you about your ol cotton sweater as i like it very much - which brand is this? Thank you!
I would love to see you try outfits from your visual guide, especially ones where you weren't as sure if they would work. I wanted to see the red top with the brown print pants. They kind of looked like animal print at first.
I agree with your frustration about sustainable brands getting stuck in basics. I have tried to always stick to natural fabrics over the years but I quickly run into the problem of just having a wardrobe of solid colours...
Hi Daria! I really enjoyed this video, it was relaxing and interesting (and the surprise find of the trousers was so fun!). Yes to a try-on video, if you feel comfortable sharing some "bad" outfits. It would be so relatable and educational to watch you analyze and assess each combination. As for current collections, I agree! Very repetitive, I can't find a winter dress that is not a dark boxy uniform. So I went into "vintage mode" and found some interesting options on Vinted, I might post them on Discord. Enjoy your vacations!
Thank you for doing this. It was very helpful for me. I am in the midst of downsizing my wardrobe - prepping for a huge move. I have become overwhelmed with trying to decide what a I need and don’t need.
Thank you so much! But even those colours dont really feel like autumn to me :( i wish I could wear what my mother wears who is an autumn type. I really love the weather, halloween and the changing of the trees. Everything feels magical and I want to look like it too but winter colours are always too cool and bright no matter what :( though i have one pullover that is really dark and toned down. Its not perfect but i feel like the closest i can get
I love this kind of video, yes, please do another one when winter comes. And I also agree with another comment, please do a follow up showing outfits with clothes you kept for fall. Maybe also if anything changes, what changed and why because sometimes we expect to wear something and, in reality, we change our minds :)
Still in swealtering heat here, but you inspired me to play around with my closet a bit anyhow! Yes, shoe size changes with age, and you'll probably have to change the style of shoes in a few years too (not for style sake but for comfort, feet keep changing). Thanks for all you do!❤
YT just gifted this lovely video in my feed. It couldn’t be more perfect for me as I’m a winter and my wardrobe is mostly cool blues, greens and purples. Thank you for sharing how well we can live wearing skirts and dresses! I’ve worn them exclusively for forty years now (beginning when I was twenty-one years old) and have never missed wearing pants/trousers. Skirts and tops suit me better than dresses but I have bought a few dresses recently and am enjoying wearing them. I’ve just subscribed and look forward to watching more of your content! 👋🏻 🇨🇦
