Welcome! This is the place to get fast paced, family friendly play through videos of your favorite board games. I try to keep the videos short, so usually I break each play through into multiple episodes. This also allows me to take my time, do more editing, correct mistakes and hopefully create a better experience for you guys!
Leave me a comment if there's a particular game you want to see me try!
Thank you so much for doing this video. I can see in the comments there were a few hiccups, but it was still a big help for a noob like myself that's never played before. I just got Green Horde and all 3 Thundercats packs. Gonna try to get a session in tonight with 2 of my boys.
Moving the hoarde from zone to zone, when it is huge, looks very cumbersome. Methinks, if I got the game, I'd use some token to represent it and leave the beasts off the board. After a round of two, the runners will have left, and some will have been killed. Then the hoarde will be more manageable and can be moved into the board.
I've just ordered this game. This was a great review and I'm really looking forward to receiving the game now (even more !!). I'll go watch your "close up" now ;-)
Btw when killing a necromancer they’re last in the priority list, which means if a necromancer is in a zone containing a horde like the one you see in this video before the necromancer was killed, you’re suppose to kill specific zombies in the first to last priority, which means the necromancer would’ve been the last zombie to kill in the zone containing that horde with the necromancer
This is very well structured, filmed (love the depth of field shots) and you've got a great natural style. I know how long it takes to edit videos! But if you can then keep doing it as this was great
Great video and editing! You deserve more numbers on your channel 👍 One rule question: wasn’t the damage cards supposed to trigger their effect once immediately after you’ve drawn them?
Just discovered your channel and noticed you haven't made many videos , i am hoping you start again. you have amazing production and definitely have the voice for it lol either way great vids!
First off, thanks for this video explaning a solo variant to Potion Explosion. I was looking for one and between this step by step explanation and seeing the game function, it's perfect. Second, you have amazing quality for such a small channel! I dare say it's better than other channels I've seen that are much bigger. Too bad you're not making videos anymore. I hope it's going well with whatever you're up to nowadays.
I started with your green horde video. Watched all of them really enjoy it. Like previously stated you make the game easily understood and kinda relaxing a bit 😂 waiting for the next game you choose
i recently got into zombicide due to Prozd and i am kinda hooked now. sadly i am too late for ANY of the kickstarter campaigns which is sad, did order invaders and black pleague anyway and i am thinking about getting this now. i cant rly say if i want to or not.. idk
Again, best tutorial gameplay lol You make it so easy to understand the game. I actually didn't give this game a 2nd thought, telling myself there's no solo mode and not my style. But you actually made it look fun for me lol. Good Job, More solo mode (official or unofficial) if possible. May I suggest Arcadia Quest? Great game but no official solo mode, just an "unofficial" solo mode some where out there. I'm a solo player (recently new) and in my research only around 15% total of my search for board games has solo mode. Which I think is a big waste for the game creators to not put an extra easy solo mode in their 2+ player games. Because there are a lot of solitary people out there who just want's to enjoy the game themselves and not rely on other players to play the game due to the board game genre being underrated and most people not having the time to play with you (work, family, etc.).
Hey thanks for watching! Yeah I totally agree and I think it’s cool that the community takes time to develop and test out unofficial solo modes like this. I’ve never played Arcadia Quest but it looks like a lot of fun! I’ll check it out and see what I can do!
@@BeatonGames I know, right? I've heard good reviews about Arcadia Quest. The miniature details and artwork is very well done and I guess the expansions speaks for itself on how good it is. I've never played it as well but I ordered their "Dungeons of Masmorra" (part of Arcadias universe) since it's the only one with coop/solo mode. Too bad Masmorra only has Player miniatures but no enemy miniatures (unlike Arcadia Quest, I'm a big miniature fan) cause it's mainly a dungeon crawl dice game but I'll take what I can get lol. Good luck on your videos. Just remember to keep having "fun" with em ^w^
i must say, your gameplay is too good for you to only have 345 subs... (i am the number 345) realy, this is not fair, some youtubers out there are realy shitty at their job, but you? you have a great microphone, a great camera, a great logo, you play very well (almost none mistakes, and you try to correct them) you are awsome! and is realy not fair... i hope you get a lot more subs, i realy do, because you diserve it! and also, i ask of you, please play black plague and green horde till the end, i wanna see all quests <3
I totally agree with you. I recently bought green horde (my first board game + 2 more) and I've watched numerous tutorial videos. But this guy really put a lot of heart to his tutorial game play with good step-by-step explanation. I mean all those close-up shots on equipment cards, zombie cards, board game. That's a lot of cut and editing to put up a good quality video.
@@joaosoares-rr5mj Haha yeah and I really appreciate your comment! I think about this channel a lot and I may be at a spot where I can finally put some time into making more videos.
cool video! very informative! just curious, you only used 4 survivors when there is 6, is there a mission specific on how much survivors you use or is this preference?
Haha I'm actually reaaaally surprised that you are the first person to say something. It actually bugs me sooo much, that I have a hard time making these kinds of videos.
The pacing in this playthrough is a lot better (faster) than what I've seen from other RU-vid-channels. You also do great camera work, keeping the camera still and switch between close-ups of cards, tiles, dice, and so on. Spawn rounds would be more clear if you drew the card and resolved that card into the room/spawn immediatelly instead of drawing more cards. There were a lot of mistakes where you didn't follow the game rules also. All in all I'd go to your channel first if you kept on uploading these videos.
Hey Beaton. I realize your channel isn't that big yet, but you actually did one of the best reviews of Zombicide: Green Horde I've seen so far. I especially liked that you showed all the survivors and equipment. I immediatelly checked to see if you had similar of the other equipment found in other Zombicide games, but unfortunately you don't. Keep up the good work though.
Well the movement of Megan was actually right, you just reversed the action payment: to step from the street into the water = 1 action; to move out from the water using a border = 2 actions; moving characters from water to water zone = 2 actions; moving character out of the water using a coast = 1 action. Good video!!
Yes! This is the opening tutorial quest and it’s very easy so they suggest only using 4 survivors. There are scaling rules so you can use as many survivors as you want, but generally they build everything to be used with 6 survivors. And then you divide up those 6 survivors to however many people are playing.
