Welcome to our channel where we share our passion for off-roading and overlanding. Debbie and I and the girls (our German Shorthair Pointers) love to hit the trails and explore the great outdoors. Our journeys take us many places around Kentucky and Tenessee, but our love is out west to the Rocky Mountains. You can expect to see more and more trips that way.
We are going to share our life and trips with you all. We hope you can glean some entertainment and knowledge from them. Maybe we can give you some hope and maybe a desire to get out and see this great country we have through the back roads. You will see as we travel that we don't like to take the main highways.
It's our hope that you join us for this adventure.
Done! Eric it was great seeing and riding with you guys this weekend. The girls loved playing with your girls every time we stopped. Now they're begging for another puppy. 😐
Hey Shawn! Look forward to meeting you as well. Yes, I leave mine on. I go on some gravel roads and it helps protect from flying rocks. There is no problem cleaning. I am about to release a video on some secrets to keeping it on full time. Keep watching. Thanks!
The only problem is if you have to use the spare tire…. Then U have to take everything off. Then what happens if the reason you need a spare is you tore the hell out of your tire. These type of basket mounts don’t mount easily or well or securely to a misformed, torn up tire, or just a rim. Why not make a mount that mounts to the tailgate reinforcement bracket/hinges? Then you can remove the spare and it won’t rely on the integrity of the tire.
Hey texasgrillchef This is easy to take on and off. I understand where you are coming from though, but have to say in all my years of offroading, I 've never seen a tire get that badly torn up offroading. Now I don't do extreme stuff, but still not sure a tire would get that bad. I guess if you have a blowout or something going down the road, but never happened to me before. If it were to happen, it is not difficult to take off. Then I would just have to find a place to store what was on the rack.
@@trailhunterusa It maybe very easy to take on and off, like many others that can be easy to take on and off. You are lucky. i have torn a tire to hell before. While i will aggree it is rare. it is possible and has happened to people before. Just something to keep in mind is all. I have worked on a design that will mount to my tailgate reinforcement bracket.
The molle panel to hang the gas and water tanks is part of my rack system. The Raket Designs Roof Rack is designed to be able to add the rotopaks or other items on the molle panels.
Holy smokes Eric, so sorry for your loss. My whole family is in tears after watching your video. We've ridden with you guys several times with you guys at the DBBB and we know how much your girls mean to you. Stay strong brother.
Thank you so much. It is very tough. I am just now getting to where I am not crying every other hour. LOL. I appreciate you all. Looking forward to our next ride!
So very sorry, to hear about Sadie. We just had to put our 14 year old Sadie Mae down. so hard. Good dogs. My daughter has two GSP's now. Such Characters.
Sad indeed! My condolences, its incredible how nuch we ge to love a dog, to the point its a family member. She was cared and loved, so you all did your part to return the love she gave yall.
This is so shocking and sad, Sadie was a sweet dog and I know she enjoyed traveling with you. It’s so hard losing one of our fur babies my thoughts are with you Debbie and Harlee❤ Thank you for sharing with us.
I am so heartbroken to hear about Sadie😢. I cried watching this video. You definitely gave her a good life and brought her on all kinds of adventures. Please give Harley a hug for me.
Any damage to tires on the 2/1 lift? I have a 2.5 and 1.5 and am hoping it will clear the 37s. But am unsure if it’s better to stay with my 35s. I’ve got a badlands non sas on eibach pro 2.0 coils
@@jmw3607 hey! This is an older video. I changed to a 3.5” lift. This did fine on road and light trails, but ended up ripping out my fender well liner when I hit tougher trails, so I changed. Hope this helps
@@trailhunterusathat’s not bad! No damage to actual fenders when fully flexed though? Any scraping on the body mounts in the front area or damage to tires when it’s rubbed fully stuffed?
