Nikki, how are you? I just wanted to let you know I have been thinking of you and really miss your videos. Hope all is well. I remember you said you were going to work at the school. God bless you and your family. Love, Susan❤
Been saving my used coffee filters, and not knowing how to use them. Thanks for this video ! I like the one that you sewed down the middel with your sewing machine. I'm trying to make a glued hidden spine with different sizes of pages. The crafter who I watched said that all of the pages should be the same size, but im the rebel who says " I so can have different sized papers " and will make it work !! Sewing the smaller pages in thier own signature and adding it onto the other glued pages may work. If it can be done, I'll do it lol !
Hello and omg I've been looking for a needle book just like this to make for my quilting sisters. What kind of felt is that and how thick? Can you send me a link please? I love this and tyvm for the details and the tutorial, your sew is amazing! I'd love to have various colors of felt. Do you still sell these?
Finally a crafter who is happy to use craft felt and not wool felt! Thank-you for sharing all of your ideas with us, I am so inspired to get sewing😊 Wool felt is expensive and not always easy to find. I can finally pull out my stash of craft felt and get started, I cant wait. 😊❤ Many thanks from Australia x
Your video is a Wonderful flash back for me .....I did a playing with coffee filter video way back in the day with a few flower and pocket variations ....back in the day (10 Years ago ) when i was a younger creator lol Love your video sweets, great projects and fun play, rosanne xoxoxox
When I was growing up, all the old clothes from 5 kids, or hand-me-downs, had all buttons, hook & eyes, lace, and zippers removed by my mother before she got rid of worn out clothing. I still have her button can and go to it for replacement buttons of every kind. Sometimes I use some thin ones for my junk journal. I have a lace curtain from mom too & it's more lace than I'll ever need. I tea & coffee dye strips of it, or spray pieces with coored dye.
Hi just found your channel and I’m so impressed, you have explained all this information about the filters so well. I will be buying them right away. I just finished two journals and I wish I would have used them. I live in Ohio , my name is Linda Wilde and I love to make all kind of crafts. I will be watching often. Take care. 😊 🥰
Hello I have just found you and I am wondering if you know if the digitals are still available that you used and if so do you know there names. Thank you so much it is all so beautiful
Hi there! The kit is by Tracy Fox. He Etsy shop is called LoveJunk Journals. I had a quick look, and the kit is still available. It is called mini discs. Hope you enjoy crafting with it!
I love this tutorial 🥰 I have made a few journal covers like this, not with the knots though 🤔 If you scrunch up the brown paper before dipping it in the glue, you get a bit more texture & with the paper towel, you can add some brown paint to the glue & you won’t see the white 🤔🤔 that way you should only need one coat of black 🙂 They turned out absolutely gorgeous 🥰🥰🫶
I started to do this and got stuck with wonky edges, now I know what to do, line up corners and sew straight. It gets complicated, it us like a jigsaw. I gave up for another day, decided I needed more patches. WIP. I'm not a quilter, but I'll try again.
Thank you so much for this video and very kind way of teaching. I found these 2 videos of yours as I need to make a needle book to organize my threaded needles and not wanting to buy a threaded needle dome. Now I learn that felt is a good surface for all the threads of threaded needles to stick to and I can make the flap like yours. I really enjoyed watching you sew with pretty materials and hearing you share a bit about your life.
Alright, I finished making my first needle book yesterday. I'm by no means a quilter and so enjoyed just incorperating it as I went along. It was so fun. Thanks for sharing your skills to refer to along the way to make one of these. I'm retired and this was so fun to pass the time. I live in Florida from NY upstate,LOL no more snow for me. Going to make one for my daughter. I'm hooked. Thanks
I don't usually comment on all the interesting posts I watch, but yours stood so far out from the others that I had to say that you really did a first rate job! thank you!
I just found you and am very grateful I have. (This video is from one year ago.) Now I must see your other videos. I hope you are doing well. I very much enjoy your style, voice, energy. Thank you.
