2032 Battery

Hi, my streets have disappeared off of my map and it shows my car in a different location to where it is. Will doing the above updat process fix this problem or do you know how to fix? 2017 S3 uk model. Thanks

Thanks for your video! My 2nd key was hard to work with. It looked like the previous owner had dropped it in the mud. Your video shows where the battery compartment joins the "permanent" part of the fob, which was very helpful. I had been using plyers at the wrong place. What finally worked for me was to use kitchen shears which had a bottle-gripping feature. I was able to grip both tabs with the shears and wiggle the shears, saving my fingers. :) Fortunately there was no dirt inside the battery compartment.

What is the "sport" drive option for ? some guy told me its for when u drag things with your car , but can that be used as a regular gear to use on the daily as well and what advantages does that give the driver ? there is also an option to pull the gear to the right side , what does that ?

Hi Bryan, you did a great job in showing us how to do it. Do you have any suggestions if my battery tray refuses to open, I did it just like you showed us, I also used a knife to try and pry the tray open but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions? BTW, thank you, it is a great video.

Thanks so much. Not only would I have had the battery label on the wrong side, I also would have slide the battery into the key upside down. This video saved me frustration.

This didn't work till we used a thin, strong cord to pull it out while holding the tabs in. After time the battery tray gets sticky to the fob case and trying force, wiggling, and a even screwdriver wasn't enough to get proper purchase and direction. Kudos to my wife, Debbie.

Holy shit that was wayy harder than it needed to be, I tried prying it open, had to scuff up my key too.. so annoying.

Thanks for the informative video. I know this video is a little old, but recently was thinking about getting a Subaru Outback and saw the A4 Allroad. The comparisons were really interesting!

Loved the video, we currently have a 17 Q7 with the 3.0T engine, very great engine as we know. Currently has 92k I think? Only thing is do you get the “add a quart” of oil message? We don’t get it often, it comes on once in awhile. I looked on the audi forums and they said it’s normal from Audis to consume a little oil. which i’ve known about that too, ours doesn’t burn oil or leak, But i’ve read from even S4 owners having to just top it off and you should be fine, I wonder if it was the same for the 2.0T engine?

Oh! My ghost! We have 3 Q5 and 1 A5 in the family. For some reason I did exactly as shown , but my wife’s Q5 keys battery compartment didn’t pop out. ( messed up my fingers nails) Going to the dealership in a next hour.. Thanks friend Tri N

Not having a spare tire was to reduce the weight of the car. Mine is all run flat tires. They are expensive.

Found this in the nick of time, as this a new key fob style. The videos I found for previous models required inserting a flathead screwdriver to pop off a top cover. Glad Audi upgraded key fob to this model!

HUGE thanks for this video and also to commenters who also found ways to get the stubborn battery compartment out. As mentioned by others, a wide rubber band (for non-slip protection of the tabs) and a jar opener did the trick perfectly. 😊😊😊
