cool but every opponent is not trying to hurt him , they all want him to finish the challenge so it's a meaningless challenge and doesn't prove anything, put him in front any ufc champ and he goes K.O. in 1 round

Should have done Muay Thai instead No head strikes No knees No straight kicks This was an endurance test That last guy had more fight and energy than him…. But he had more points? How is this not a bullshit sport instead of a fighting art?

You know, all this is not going to be great training for a real fight. I think it might be downright counterproductive to teach sparring this way. Neither side even bothers to protect their head because you aren't allowed to punch the head. So they both just whale on each other's body without much thought to defending themselves. Its only the head kicks that really seem to make them protect up high. If you go get into a fight and do this, that's just asking to get knocked out.

In the years, I have done all of these lowkick variations (many times) and by far the most effective is the one with the upper shin (the one that shihan said was not pretty). That is what stops the opponent, do not waste time with slapping kicks. The other variations are flashy and make a lot of noise (creating the impression that your kick is very powerful, while it is not), but all they do is make the leg black (from the hemorrhage) and hurt after the match (oh, yes they hurt like hell later). What those won't do in most cases is KO the opponent, while the ugly upper shin lowkick, executed properly stops the match immediately. Rob Kaman (RIP legend) has demonstrated that many times. There is a very good instructional video of him showing that. Later, Ernesto Hoost was using the same thing and at seminars, he always insists that when you kick the bag with lowkick, there should be no sound.

Unfair testing for the girl. You should have arranged for a female partner. And why the hell does the test take 4 hours? 30 minutes are more than enough to get an idea about the skill of a student.
@caldeandrade69
@caldeandrade69 Месяц назад
Getting a black belt should never be easy. There are a lot of factors to take in for them to get promoted. Things like Endurance, physical ability, and execution of techniques. These are necessary for when the time comes that they will teach it or pass it to the next students. Above all, they must become the prime example of what a Karateka should be. And that is to push on despite the rigors of hard challenges along the way. Although I don't usually agree with pitting women against men, I think it's okay in this scenario. This will be a good training ground for a woman who is in an art dominated by men. Besides, Kyokushin tournaments are usually open weight. She could fight against opponents bigger than her.
@sassuki
@sassuki Месяц назад
@@caldeandrade69 sorry, complete BS. He is basically asking them to take steroids. There is no street fight that would take 4 hours. And even the army physical test doesn't take that long. This is completely delusional. Also for the poor girl, how delusional do you think you are for really assuming this is about weight?? A man is always stronger than a woman, especially if he is as trained as her. Why do you think there is a woman category in every sport? Didn't you see how Lia Thomas basically slaughtered real women in swimming, just because she is a biological male? Pfff
@sassuki
@sassuki Месяц назад
@@caldeandrade69 sorry man, not even the army physical test lasts that long. That's just BS. And women have their own category in every sport for a reason: no matter how much you weight, you will always be weaker than a man doing the same training! And that's why Lia Thomas is now forbidden from competing against women in the olympics!

I have done the 100 man kumite in 1992 under sensi nick Hughes 5th Dan zendokai in the uk. Watching this brings back the memories, and how close to death I came, it was like an out of body experience. I have also done boxing and had 32 fights. But nothing compared to this event. This was a great video. Thank you. " The fighters grade for 2nd dan"
