Nice travel series, I love less crowded destinations, it looks so peaceful and quiet. And good historical/nature attractions and good food :) thank you!
Oh my gosh, this is gorgeous! As an American who has not traveled abroad, I have a hard time thinking about building remains from the 4-6 th century. 🤯 We are just babies in our neck of the woods. Very interesting. Love it!
This may be a bit of a random question, but as an Italian living in Slovakia, what do you think about the fact that both our newly elected President (Pellegrini) and Prime Minister (Fico) have Italian heritage? Historically, Italians were one of the main ethnic minorities living in the territory of modern day Slovakia, so it's not really surprising to most Slovaks that so many people here have Italian surnames, but I always wondered if Italians living in Slovakia today are also aware of the historic presence of Italians in this region.
Ahoj :) I know that Pellegrini has an Italian ancestor and indeed this surname is fully Italian, but I didn’t know about Fico and, even if we do have this word (it means “fig” or “cool” in slang)I thought it was a Slovak surname. To be honest I had no idea about this historical presence in Slovakia, but it’s good to know! :) in what time was this minority in Slovakia?
Turkiye'ye gelmene ve iyi bir tatil ve ziyaret yapmana cok sevindim. Ulkenin adi turkey (veya Turkce'de soylendigi sekliyle torki) degil, TURKIYE. Ozel isimler baska dile cevrilemez. Bu temel kurali hatirlatmak istedim. Kanada'dan sevgiler. I am very glad that you are in Turkiye and having a nice holiday and visit. The name of the country is not turkey (or torki as we read in Turkce language), but TURKIYE. Private (Humans, countries, cities, etc . . . . ) names can not be translated into other languages. I wanted to remind this basic rule. Regards from Canada.
Hi! I’ve used both versions (Turkey/Turkiye) in the tags in the description but for the title of the video I guessed that it would be easier for foreigners to type “Turkey” when looking for videos about the country. But I totally get that it should be called Türkiye and thank you for pointing it out :)
Another beautiful vacation. Feel like I was right there with you. Thanks for the coastal water sound. We also love the beach, although we are two hours away. ❤️😘 oh and great job on your first scooter ride. Looked like a pro!🛴
It was beautiful and I already want to go back! I recorded so many water videos that I think I’ll be posting them in my next videos as well 😍 thanks a lot!
Cool vlog, I love how you are visiting lesser known cities that aren't as crowded. And the vibe is very calm and relaxing 😌. Loved the kitties and the kebab 🥙
Thank you! Yes, I didn’t even know Fethiye before booking this vacation. It gets more crowded during July/August as far as I’ve heard, but it is for sure less known than other cities!
I loved you in the cute striped outfit! Gorgeous! ❤️ Time in nature is never a waste. Thanks for the reminder to be kind to ourselves and get outside. Safe journey!✈️
I visited your RU-vid channel and I saw, that your content is so good. But there are lots of workspaces, which means need to update your video optimization. Like SEO-friendly video title selection, writing an attractive SEO-related description, and researching high-rank targeted keywords according to your niche to rank your video.
your travel vlogs are quite interesting, Slovakia and Czechia don't seem very crowded with tourists, and have this typical historical European vibe :). Do you plan to do longer trips, like Scandinavia, etc?
Thank you 😊 it’s true, there are not huge crowds of tourists (except from Prague I would say) but they are beautiful! Yes, I’ll actually travel next week, first video from my trip will be in 2 weeks ☺️
Amazing cooking skills, I´m in awe. More Slovaks should watch your cooking videos and learn to not only cook Italian couisine but also distinguish real from fake Italian cousine :)
Thank you soooo much! 😊 Indeed, by travelling and living abroad I noticed that interpretations of Italian cuisine are quite “interesting” sometimes 😅 this applies to every country obviously, not only to Slovakia!
Thanks! Never heard of them 😀 I don’t think they’re Italian! Many famous dishes that are believed to be Italian are actually not - we don’t eat them in Italy. The most famous one I’d say is pasta Alfredo 🤷♀️
Trencin is small, but it has even lost a large part of historical looking centre during communism when many more or less beautiful detached houses and buildings were demolished, a large part of what you saw right around the main square has been replaced with the "commie" architecture. At least they didn't intervene into main square and the castle hillside too much. In the medieval times there was a fortification system around the city centre connected up to the castle, remains are still visible. Vah river was not regulated as these days and during floods the river was flowing right around the city fortification. As you are an Italian, hope your friends told you about the Roman inscription on the castle rock that is hidden behind the Elisabeth hotel as its a significant memory of Romans presence in the area way before the city was really born. I often check any videos from foreigners coming to Trencin and this is probably one of the best I've seen recently. Thank you for your presentation of my hometown. I suggest to do a bicycle trip to further or rural areas around Trencin or a hiking trip, the bike trail along the Vah river offers some nice views and places to stop.
Ďakujem ☺️ interesting to know these information! I noticed some communist style building very close to the historical center, and I thought indeed that they might have replaced some older buildings. I think I saw part of the fortification! I didn’t know about the Roman inscription - I must check it next time :) Thank you so much for your comment and for the suggestions 😍
@@palmacate there will be several smaller or larger investments to public spaces within the broader city centre as Trencin will become European Capital of Culture in 2026 that is expected to attract other foreign tourists. Hope it won't end up with embarrassment and the city will offer something more than the castle even we locals know other nice places around to spend time.
@@palmacate The Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius (lived in the years 121 - 180 AD) moved through the territory of today's Slovakia. He planned to make this territory a Roman province, which was eventually abandoned because he died prematurely of the plague in Vindobona, which is today's Vienna. Two interesting events are connected to his military campaign. One is recorded through reliefs on the Column of Marcus Aurelius in Piazzo Colona in Rome. The reliefs depict the march of the legions, their hardships during the drought, but also the so-called miraculous rain, which encouraged the Romans and intimidated the Germanic Quads. The second event was that Marcus Aurelius began to write his much-hyped, Greek-written philosophical work, Conversations to Himself, right at the time of this campaign. He clearly stated in the work: "Written in the land of the Quads on the banks of the river Granus." The Slovak river Hron is spelled in Latin Granus and in German Gran.
Great vlog once again! As a Bratislava resident I hate the primitive graffiti on every building, it's a disgrace to the city. I recently visited Perugia and Rome, I spent a week there and I really don't remember seeing graffitied buildings. 👍😀
Ďakujem :) I also don’t like graffiti with the exception of the beautiful ones in some places, but besides that, Bratislava is super clean! If I recall correctly Rome and other cities in Italy, they’re also full of graffitis. Glad you didn’t see them that much 😊
