$72K- $93K in Canada !! I really like Toyota vehicles and i have no doubt this vehicle will be a great product. But wayyyyyy too spendy. But as Zach mentioned, there are a lot of wealthy people who will not wince at the price and buy it no matter what. I hope they enjoy that expensive premium fuel price. Here in Vancouver, gasoline is always the most expensive in North America. One vehicle i wish was sold in Canada is the 2024 Suzuki Jimny 4dr. Much cheaper ( guessing it would still be pricey here...$38-45K??) and smaller then the Landcruiser ( and somewhat cruder) , but they always had a hardcore loyal following from way back.
Nice review as usual. Probably for the best to ditch the track pad, but don’t be so hard on it. I have a 24 MDX and thought long and hard about the track pad issue before I made the purchase. I was pleasantly surprised that the learning curve wasn’t as long as I expected. In less than a week, I was 95% proficient; now, I’m at 100% and quite comfortable with it. The 25 doesn’t have the hand rest - I would miss that. Others have mentioned poor gas mileage. I’m experiencing 19.5/25.5, slightly better than EPA ratings. No complaints.
I am glad the MDX continues to utilize a conventional style automatic transmission. I don’t mind the trackpad and the wireless CarPlay is fine for my needs. The third row may get used twice a year. There so many pluses that I would buy this vehicle again.
I was confused by the portion talking about the speaker system. They said the Bang & Olufsen is the higher version of the B&O... But doesnt B&O stand for Bang & Olufsen? They are the same audio company. Just how B&W stand for Bowers & Wilkins. It's just a shorter or longer logo of the same audio company.
B&O is made for the cheaper brands and the full name is for luxury brands. There is a big difference in sound between both. But keep in mind that Samsung owns them with all the Harman audio brands.
@@josevargas1897 but B&O supplies speakers and audio for Audi, BMW, Aston Martin and Mercedes. So are you saying that Acura is a Luxury brand where as all those other brands are cheaper brands? If Bang & Olufsen were for the luxury brands and B&O was for the cheaper brands, than wouldn't it be reversed where Acura would get the B&O sound system and those other brands would get the Bang & Olufsen system? Acura for a long time has been considered the value luxury brand.
Even when they are built on same platform, why MDX doesn't have good legroom in 3rd row? Especially when almost all mid size SUVs now have great legroom like Pilot, Grand Highlander, Atlas, Pallisade, Telluride and list goes on
Hyundai-Kia-Genesis have been making some of the best cars, including EVs, in recent years. This looks like another hit product, with avant garde design, solid tech, and attractive features. It seems like most other OEMs, except the Chinese upstarts, are fast asleep.
Just drove home with my new ‘24 Maverick! I fell in love with it as soon as I drove it! I paid 27g, that is totally reasonable, used ones with 90,000 miles are selling for 23!
Andrea… the driving experience is the main thing. The screen and other gadgets are fluff…. More electronics to break. Give me buttons and knobs any day. I want that V6.
If you’re worried about getting into a cold car and cold seats, use the auto start that’s included in Canadian cars and it’s amazing! Unless your car is in the garage then not a good idea
Kia EV3 is incredible! Modern design, good performance and lots of driver-friendly devices. It has high quality Korean battery as well. It's phenomenal!!
Zack - Did you get that shirt at the Farmers Market in LA? Tried grabbing one for my Dad in January but only size in stock was XS. Need to find new retailer.
I've only ever owned Toyota's until last year. Bought a 2024 Subaru Onyx XT. Love it. Drives great. Then a week later bought a new/used work car. A 2020 Subaru Legacy non turbo. Also a great car. Especially where I live now we get a lot of snow. So the all wheel drive is nice.
I still love this car- I have a 2015….. still drives great after over 100K miles. I’m very confident that the ‘25 miles s terrific, just wish ventilated seats were an option.
When you talk about price, you have to realize the relevance of the passage of time. Purchased a 1994 Isuzu Trooper LS in 1993 for $32,660. If you escalate that amount to be in 2024 dollars, that equates to $71,150. Then when you factor in the technological and safety improvements, the price for a loaded Land Cruiser exactly hits the mark. I still have that Trooper but will soon be buying a new and improved version of it called the Land Cruiser for the same relative money.
