When asked what this channel would be about, I said, "It's about service". I am a Marine Corps veteran and frequently hear stories that I find intensely moving and interesting and I believe that others would find these stories compelling also. The focus may lean towards military veterans and the Marine Corps, but in a broader sense the stories are about those who serve in many capacities in their community, state, and nation. "It's about service".
i had this exact thing happen. my husband and i went backpacking and met a kid probably 7th or 8th grade, he was so intelligent, could hold a coversation, was respectful and his parents were several yards behind so he wasnt doing or saying anything for fear of his parents and i told my husband that kid is NOT a product of public school and then asked him and he said he was homeschooled...WOW kudos to homeschooling parents, you rock !
Why is everyone being disrespectful. If you don't agree with him. Then just thank him for his service and move on. Don't act like a child that has just been told no.
I've noticed that if someone says anything even slightly negative about pot, it evokes the same aggressive response in people who smoke it. They respond the same way an addict of any other drug responds when their addiction is brought into the conversation.

In my life l have been a truck driver,bartender, apt manager, and a Calif State Realtor, among other occupations, and God has helped me throughout my life to perform those occupations and have never in my life been fired or terminated except, l left to pursue A differt occupation. That was 66years ago That this began for my life. AMEN.
Don, is my Grandfather. He and I share a special bond and I’ve always loved hearing him talk about his time as a Marine and when he was at NASA. He’s someone I’ve always looked up to and now his great granddaughters share the same bond as he and I do. The legacy will live on through myself and my girls. We will continue to share what a bad ass my grandpa truly is for generations to come.

Thank you for your wisdom, sir. My high school teacher was a Marine veteran of the battle of Chosin Reservoir. He was missing parts of most of his fingers due to the severe frostbite he endured there, and he told us he also lost several toes. But he wasn't bitter because he told us some of his fellow Marines never came home alive due to getting hit and some froze to death. He was grateful he survived and returned home.
I have met and interviewed two veterans of the Chosin Reservoir campaign. Both amazing Marines. Don insisted on doing this interview from the hospital.
My uncle was there, the only thing he's ever said about it was when he told his younger brother (my father) he'd kick his butt if he joined the Marines, so dad joined the Air Force. Edit for spelling.
Thank you for this. Herr Sontag was my German teacher in the late 70's until his retirement in 1981. He is an incredible man and am glad i get to speak to him every now and then.
