Criville was a great rider, sad he got health problems when he was just on his prime. Anyway, for many years he was the only one to stand up against one of the Greatest of all time in the 500cc (Mick Doohan). A well deserved 2 times world champion and the first Spanish rider on achieve the world champion on a "big bike"...
Yamaha m1 riders have to be very skilled with corner entry/exit because lack of power is unable to compensate if Yamaha M1 riders is not faster around the corner or made a tiny mistake unlike ducati and Honda are able to accelerate quickly than Yama. Ducati have always been superior at straight and had been easily swallowing yamaha m1 by coming from back.
Those of you who don't speak Spanish probably won't recognize the voices of the commentators. The one who speaks the most is a Spanish announcer, but the others are Ángel Nieto and Alberto Puig.
Got to love Jerez. One of the few circuits that had to regularly turn people away as they were at capacity. Crazy place with crazy fans. I remember maybe 04 or 05 Jules and Toby having the late Keith Flint up in the commentary box during the 125 or 250 race. He'd ridden his Ducati from home to the circuit and they asked him where he was going to watch the MotoGP race from. He replied the Zoo. Think Julian said watch out for the flying bottles. Keith's reply was nonchalant along the lines of "It's good value and all part of the atmosphere." Great times
I can understand bcuz football is my favorite but Rossi has always been my favorite rider he brings see excitement to the sport and races that's why we watch it for 🤔
